"Promise me one thing, Mireya!" The small brunette girl said, smiling brightly as usual.

"I'll promise anything, Audrey. You know I will." Mireya giggled.

The brunette child clapped her hands together, "Good! Promise me that you'll never leave me behind. Ever." Audrey said, reaching her hand towards Mireya.

Mireya touched Audrey's hand and looked her dead in the eye.

"I promise."

--

Mireya sat up in fear, nearly crying at the thought of Audrey. At the thought that she left Audrey behind. She broke a promise that she made to her best friend. Her family.

When Mireya was very young, her mother became the queen of the water nation. After that, her mother kept forgetting about her more and more each day. One day, when Mireya was seven years old, she met Audrey.

It was because of Mireya silently escaping the kingdom, where nobody really cared what happened to her. Audrey was sitting in a forest in between the Water Nation and the Fire Nation. She was sitting on a tree log, sticking rocks into a little stream. She instinctively tackled Mireya when she first saw her, but grew to like her.

Mireya introduced Audrey to the nation, and had her mother's royal assistants help her out with training Audrey. Audrey caught on decently quick, and was as good as wielding water as Mireya was.

Audrey soon gained Mireya's trust as years went by, and they spent every second they could together. They were there for eachother. They were family.

A family that neither one of them have ever had.

It was all gone.

--

"I really never expected you, of all people, to betray me." Rayna pointed out.

Audrey spit in her face.

"Quite sad that you didn't die. The good thing about it though... I can torture you all I want."

"Well, bitch queen, you might have forgotten one, small, yet important detail." Audrey smirked.

Rayna smiled, "And what is that?"

"I have a higher education than you, and you know damn well that I can outsmart you anytime I want. So I suggest easily letting me go, or your 'pretty' face won't be so pretty anymore."

"Do you really think I'm scared of you?"

"Ah, Rayna. You really should be," Audrey giggled. "Because I'm simply smarter than you, and I'm also a full-metal savage."

"What is a 'savage'?" She asked, confused.

Audrey grinned.

"My point exactly."

The dark room was flooded with crimson curtains and flames bursting out of everywhere. Lava filled large wine glasses, and a young looking teenage girl standing next to them. She had purple hair, which came down to her waist, and scars all over her.

Heels could be heard clacking in the distance, and the sound eventually came closer and closer, until a figure was seen on the throne.

It was the Fire Nation.

The purple-haired girl walked up the red stairs, and reached the throne.

"Queen Neri, we have company."

"What do you mean, 'company'?" The short queen asked. Her medium-length brown hair covered up most of her face, hiding her reaction.

"The Water Nation is declaring war."

Queen Neri pushed the hair out of her face, and said in a very low tone, "Find as many soldiers as you can, and fight back."

The purple-haired girl nodded, and turned back towards the exit/entrance, and a hand touched her shoulder.

"Lavender, you do not have to be formal with me. We are friends, afterall. So please, you can call me Neri or Nerd, but do not feel pressured to use 'queen', alright?"

Lavender nodded.

"Also, while you're declaring war back, send Soulless to me. Thank you."

And with that, Lavender was gone.

Nerd sat back down.

"I guess this is how you want to play the game, Rayna."
