Dominic’s P.O.V

I sat at my desk at 2:30 in the morning doing homework, ever since Ember moved in with us. Well was forced to basically, I didn’t do any school. I was trying to catch up on thanksgiving break but know here I am at 2:45 in the morning doing geography. I started to write when I saw the hallway light was shut-off. That must mean that Jake went home and Ember’s asleep in her room right?

Wrong.

I walked down the hall and peered into Embers room, Jake was crooked already on the foot of her bed and Ember was crooked the other way. I turned out the small lamp light and started to turn around when I heard something.

‘No’.

“What?’, I whispered into the darkeness.

“No, I don’t like him!’, it sort of yelled whispered,”Nuhhhhh-uhhhh!”.

I looked at the outline of the bed, I knew that wasn’t Jake… I chuckled and closed the door. I walked back to my room and finished my work.

Beeeeeep Beeeep Beeeeeep Beeeeeep!

I woke up and hit my small old-timey alarm clock, it was 6:30 and I just needed breakfast. That’s all I could think about…Foood…

“Kathy? Kathy? Where’s my foooooood!”,I mumbled.

I saw a note on the fridge

Dear Master Dominic,

I have gone to the store early to pick up some food. Left-over turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, and stuffing are in the fridge. Please don’t burn the house down by cooking.

Weird,she never goes out this early.

I opened the icebox and grabbed the ice-cream, I just had to make sure it didn't look like I stole ice-cream. Kathy would kill me, then when she turned me into a zombie. She'd shoot me then burn me..Yeah,Kathy is like my second mom...

Basiclly my only mom.

Whatever,it dosent matter anyway.. I got dressed after I ate and put the stuff in the dishwasher. Then in 4th period I saw somthing I thought I'd never see.
