Kiara looked up from her newspaper, staring around the quiet room. The paper rustled in her small hands as the wind from an open door swept through the house, sending a cold chill down her arm. She shook her head, her hair flicking from side to side. Then she gently took off her glasses and placed them on the coffee table beside her. The soft breeze fell as the sound of a closing door was heard. There was short pause, with only the sound of a faint drumming heart beat and a few silent breaths.
"Kiara?" A low voice called out. She shot up immediately, her heart filling with warmth at the sound of his voice. "Evan?" She cried as the newspaper which had previously been resting on her lap fell to the hard floor. She ran for the sound of the voice, her heart doing a double take as she searched the hallway.
Standing there was a tall, muscular figure whom Kiara alone saw as a handsome young man. His brown hair was swept across his forehead, as if he'd been running his hand through it. It was completely short compared to her long, wavy hair which flowed beautifully.
"Did you get it?" She asked in an adorable British accent, approaching him slowly. He stepped forward, taking her wrist gently in his hand.
"The protection?" He said, smirking. Kiara nodded, her cheeks flushing.
"Yup." He gave a solid reply. Kiara's lips curved into a smile, she could practically feel the heat radiating off of her skin."Then perhaps we should get busy." He spoke with a sharp and edgy voice, stepping forward and leaning into her. He lead her up the stairs, her wrist being pulled up with him. He pushed open the bedroom door, loosening his grip on her arm and instead taking her small, soft hand.
"Wait..." Kiara paused at the entrance, unsure whether to continue or not.
"What's the matter?" He asked, turning around to face her. He was more than willing to get this started.
"I'm not sure..." She said, hesitating. "I...I don't think I'm ready for this..." She spoke, beginning to stutter. Evan pursed his lips, biting them. He had been waiting for this for so long, but now she was reconsidering it.
"You are ready..." He said, taking her gently by the hands and pulling her down, sitting himself and her on the double sized bed.
"I don't know..." She said, tilting her head and facing away from him. Her hazel eyes beamed down at the bed, forcing her to avoid eye contact.
"Why not?" He asked, before adding, "I've seen you do it yourself, and you're really good." He said, a smirk playing at his lips. She gasped.
"You've watched me..." He nodded. She blushed furiously, her cheeks turning the colour of a light red tomato. He lifted his hand up to her shoulder, then whispered soft words into her ear.
"And I can't wait to do it with you..." He said, his voice short and raspy. Kiara tried to come up with some good excuses, but she couldn't object. She wanted this more than anything, to be with Evan, but she was worried that he would claim that she wasn't very good. She had been practicing for this moment. "I'll put the protection on..." He said, winking at her. "You get everything ready..."

Within a few minutes, Kiara and Evan had already set up the Xbox 360 and were playing one of the most seriously hardcore games ever on Call Of Duty. She liked the way the controller's protection felt underneath her thumb. It was orange, and she liked it that color, it suited her style. The protection around the controller had been espeically made for her, as her hand size was out of the ordinary.
She didn't know why she'd ever reconsidered this. She had been wanting to play COD with Evan for ages, and had even been practicing on her own just to look good. She never expected Evan to see her playing it on her own, she just wanted to surprise him.
The light was off, and the TV screen was the only source of light coming from the whole house. They were glued to the large light, stretched out together on the bed, only lifting their thumbs from the controllers to grab a small piece of salted popcorn from the plastic bag.
Evan was proud of her. He was so happy to be playing this with her, shooting newbies in the heads with his AK47 and her sniper. It was the best thing he'd ever done with her. He paused the game, instantly receiving a look of protest from Kiara. He smiled as she looked into his brown eyes. "You're really good." He said. "Thanks..." She gushed. And they continued to play Call Of Duty on multiplayer for the rest of the day, winning every single game.
