The Wrong Place At The Wrong Time

It was a simple party,
Booze, girls, fun.
And it all ended,
When the gun rang out.

The police rush in,
But no one would confess.
Not for the crime they committed,
No one but the innocent man.

Everyone knew I didn't do it,
I was inside with my 'friends'.
But there was nothing anyone could do,
So I took the blame.

They put me into there car,
Drove me to the prison for a night.
The court case was soon,
And I knew what they would say.

I was taught a phrase,
"Wrong place at the wrong time."
People don't realize though,
The phrase is true.

My whole life,
Washed down the drain.
No job opportunities or any interests,
Not even the jail could help me.

I did not do the crime,
But I said I did.
I was merely a victim;
I was in the wrong place at the wrong time

It was a simple party,
Booze, girls, fun.
And it all ended,
When the gun rang out.

[Posted 12/06/16: This man is currently free from jail. He was in there for several months to a year. They eventually let him go when they learned it was not him. His whole life went away. Colleges wouldn't accept him bad and wouldn't really let him apply. Jobs would decline him. The only people who really welcomed him was his family. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I know this is really bad, so please don't get bitchy with me. Today is not a really good day for me, but I have been wanting to type this.]
