Okay, so even though they're aren't any comments, I decided to still post the next chapter only because I really want to share this story.

But I do still want comments from y'all. Just a like or don't like would be fine.

Chapter 2

Friday

7:34a.m.

We got out of the truck and Tobias slapped me on the back as he went to go say hi to his friends, who were, like always, waiting on the steps. I smiled and went over to my friends, who were sitting on a nearby picnic table.

"What's up Tommy?" greeted Rob as we gave a typical 'guy handshake'.

"Not much, except for bein' the last day and all." I said with sarcastic happiness.

"Yeah dude, that sucks. We're gonna miss you man." Said Jon as he slapped a hand on my shoulder.

"So I guess your parents won't let you stay with Tobias then?" asked Rob.

"Yeah, that idea didn't work out. They said there was no way in hell they'd let Tobias watch over me when they're in another state."

"What about Taylor?" asked Jon. "She's a lot more responsible than Tobias, even though that's not really saying a lot because your brother is actually very responsible."

"Taylor moved in with Keith last month so....." I said without needing to explain more.

"Ah, never mind then," said Jon.

"Then I guess it really is your last day." Said Rob with a bit of disappointment in his voice.

Jon and Rob have been my best friends since I don't even know when. We might as well have been put on this earth as brothers since we spend so much time together and always have each others' backs. Jon was sixteen, same as me, and was one of the coolest and smartest guys I had ever met. He had brown eyes, mid-length brown hair and what I called 'the too normal face'. He really didn't have any distinctive features and every part of his face fit with every other part. It all seemed to go together like a puzzle of a clear blue sky. He was the same height as me, 5'9", and was wearing a plain grey t-shirt with blue jeans and black tennis shoes. His hair was simply parted on his left and swooped to the right but hung just above his brow. He never styled it or put gel or hairspray in it ever. I finally decided to believe that his hair always looked like that even after getting it wet. It just made it easier to think that he never had to style it instead always choosing to style it like that. Jon was average in build due to a rather fast metabolism and because he didn't really do any sports. Physical sports that is, he was in the chess club but hey, I'm in there too and I don't even call it a sport.

Rob on the other hand had a few distinctive features. For one, he was a bit taller than Jon and I but he was fifteen, turning sixteen in less than a month, and had a slightly large nose. Not too large where you look at him and just think, shnoz, just to where it stood out as character. He had dark green eyes and really dark black hair. And when I say dark, I mean Dark. We tried to color spray it green one time and after one streak really close to his head, it looked like we didn't even spray. He had it kinda sticking up and leaning to the back, but it wasn't gelled or anything. Rob had pretty thick hair so it kinda just stayed wherever he combed it. He was wearing a dark green t-shirt with a black, unbuttoned, dress shirt over it with the sleeves rolled like mine. He also had blue jeans with dark brown hiking boots. Rob had a bit more muscle than Jon but certainly more fit due to being on the soccer team. The reason why he still hangs out with Jon and I, besides being best friends since birth (Yeah, I'm pretty much drawing the line there, makes it easier to explain), is because I bridge the gap in this trio. I'm also on the soccer team along with being part of the chess club.
