Layla POV
After I picked Mani up from my grandmas house I stopped at the grocery store to get a few things since we had no food in the house.
"Lay, is I'm getting a toy?" Mani asked holding my hand as I walked up and down the aisle.
"Umm, you can pick out one small toy when I get the rest of the groceries."
She did a little happy dance in the middle of the aisle causing me to laugh.
"Aight Mani, chill. Let's finish up and get ya toy so we can go home. I have homework and I have to make us something to eat."
"Ok." she said calming down.
I finished getting the food and took Mani to get her little toy. After paying for everything we left the store and made our way home.

"Mani, what you want to eat?" I asked going through the freezer.
"Chicken fingers and french fries."
"Aight, go pick ya pajamas out while I put this in the oven. Kira coming over in a little."
She ran through the house screaming 'yay' until I told her little ass to calm down.
While I was cooking I heard a knock at the door.
"Here I come!" I yelled before putting the food in the oven and walking to the door.
I opened the door and Kira walked in with Dre.
"Wassup y'all?" I said letting them in.
"Shit, we just been chillin. What you up to? Where lil mama at?" Kira asked going to sit at on the beat up couch.
"Picking her pajamas out, Mani, Kira here!" I yelled to Mani.
Mani came flying out of her room and running to Kira.
"I missed you Kira." she said jumping into her lap.
"I missed you too mamas. I got you something." Kira said pulling a Princess Tiana doll out her bag.
"Look Lay! She gots me a Princess Tiana doll!" she said running over to me.
"She did? You and Dre should go play with the dolls in your room."
Mani walked over to Dre and gave him a hug.
"Dre, can you pwease play dolls with me?" she asked poking her lip out.
Nobody could say no to her when she did that shit.
"Yeah, come on Mani." Dre said picking her up and walking to her room.
"So how was your lesson?" Kira asked taking out a black and lighting it.
"It was cool, them kids gon drive me crazy. One always gotta pee. I saw Rocky up there though."
"Oh fareal? What was he up there doin?" she asked putting the black to her lips again.
"Playin basketball. I gave him a ride home after he was done."
"Fuck you mean you gave him a ride home? You just met his ass today. He coulda killed yo black ass."
"Yo, chill wit all that. He cool as hell." I said rolling my eyes.
She always being protective.
"Aye, I'm just tryna save ya ass. You don't know nothing about dude."
"Damn, you acting like I'm fuckin him. It was just a ride home." I said getting up and walking to the kitchen.
"Whatever Lay, don't make me run a background check on dude. Wassup wit you and Sean though?"
