I Dare You // Hayes Grier

Chapter 1

I was walking down the halls really starting to regret my decision on coming back to school.

"Aha, classroom 3B." I walked in and sat my stuff down on the seat in the nearest farthest back of the room, where no one can see me.

I sat down hoping no one paid attention to me sitting down and gladly no one did. Everyone was to busy on their phones or fixing their hair.

I started taking my stuff out and organizing it on my desk like a freak when someone sat next to me.

"Um, what are you doing?" I asked the tall guy with blue eyes.

"Sitting down here, oh of course, if that's alright with you" he smirked.

I just rolled my eyes and scooted the desk over.

"Alright class I will now take attendance, everyone take a seat please."

"I will gladly take a seat here," the guy said quietly in my ear.

"Can you stop it please?" I responded kindly not trying to come off rude.

"Annie?"
"Here, Mrs. Style" I said.

"Oh so your name is Annie, nice to meet you Annie. The names Hayes." Hayes had said sticking his hand out waiting for me to shake it but I just left him hanging.

"Oh playing hard to get, I see. Two can play at that game" Hayes said whispering in my ear sending shivers down my spine.

Through out the day Hayes kept trying to approach me making small talk but I just ignored him.

"c'mon Annie?" He said with a whiny face walking to lunch.

"Why, just leave me alone, please."

"Please just give me your number and I won't bug you the rest of the day, promise."

"Ugh fine just shut up and leave me alone please."

"Yay" he said with the cutest smile on his face.

What the hell Annie stop, I told myself. You don't like him.

"Text ya later babe" Hayes said leaving me alone after saving my contact.

Finally, quiet at last. That is until my best friend Matt jumped on my back.

"MATT, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT." I said silently screaming at him so we wouldn't cause anymore attention than we already have.

"Damn chill, are you PMSING?" He said with a worried face.

Which pissed me off  even more.
"No just a rough day okay, I'm sorry" I told him.

"Oh I see." He said coming in for a hug.

"Come here love" Matt said wrapping his arms around me while I wrapped mine around his stomach because that was the only place I could reach while hugging.

"Hey I know what'll make you feel better, pizza and Netflix later?"

"You know me so well Espinosa"

"Alright see you at your place at 8."  "See you," I said getting into my car then driving off.
