Chapter 3

"MATT!" I screamed hoping he'd finally turn around and talk to me.

"What do you want Annie?"

"What's your problem, why are you acting like this" I asked with a worried face.

I paused.

"I mean it's not like you like me, dude we're best friends"

"Yea but what if you date him and take everything to far and you forget about me" Matthew had spoken with a straight face.

"Ha, me date Hayes?!" I said practically laughing my ass off.

"I mean you may never know"

"C'mon Matt let's be real" I told him with a wink.

Matt laughed and told me
"You know your winks are terrible"

"Haha yea I know. So we good now?"

"We're good."

"Bring it in Espinosa" I said with my hands stretched out waiting for him to hug me.

Matt came in and wrapped his hands around me. Gosh his hugs we're the best they just make me feel like home and an affection that my parents don't even show me.

"Hey can we go home" he said while still in the hug.

"Ugh, yea. I'll just text Hayes I left."

I really didn't want anything to do with Hayes after that kiss. I felt awkward and stupid because I barely knew the kid, ya know?

"Kay, oh and also can I sleepover it's pretty late and my moms gonna kill me if I come home at this time?"

"Sure i don't care let me just tell my mom, I'm pretty sure she'll be cool with it."

Matt sleeping over wasn't weird its always happening I mean hello we're best friends and our parents are really good friends so it's really no deal he sleeps over.

Me and Matt rushed out the door before anyone can see us and stop us. I practically dashed to the car.

"That's the most exercise I've had in a while" telling Matt trying to catch my breath in his car.

"Well I'm pretty, ya know muscular" Matt said trying to show off his muscles.

"Damnnnn Matt show me your secrets"

"Shutup, I know they're not great I'm working on it okay" Matt said a little embarrassed.

As Matt was telling me that I grabbed the aux and started playing 18 by One Direction.

"OHHH YES OUR SONG" Matthew said with the biggest smile on his face.

I loved seeing him happy. Him happy is the whole reason while I'm smiling. Now I know it sounds like I like him but I don't. We've been friends for almost 4 years now and we're very close. He was there for me when I had no one, at all, I appreciated him a lot for that.

"I HAVE LOVED YOU SINCE WE WE'RE 18" me and Matt sang screaming our lungs out while jamming.

Until we got cut off by the gps saying
"You have arrived at your destination."

"WELP, let's go" Matt said getting out the Range Rover.

That was a fun car ride.

"Yo Matt" I screamed running up the stairs.

"What's up"

"I'm gonna change I'll be right down"

I walked into my room practically already changing before I even walked in.

"I went to my closet and took off the light washed high waisted skinny jeans I had on. Oh the satisfaction. I put on some yellow floral shorts for pjs and then proceeded to take off my white crop top and exchanging it with a black shirt that said Nirvana.

"Hey Matt" I yelled.

"Can we sleep in my room I'm tired and I don't feel like walking down the stairs"

"Ugh fine I'm coming" Matt responded.

"Bring water, please."

Matt turned around and went back down then came back.

I was sitting on my bed and Matt finally came in and sat down right next to me. We didn't do much, we were just on our phones. That is until Matt took my phone and told me

"Let's get off our phones and have an actual convo I'm bored"

"Okay fine" I sighed.

I started telling Matt something when I noticed he kept looking at my lips. I just kept talking but then Matt leaned in.

"Matt what are you doing?" I said rejecting him and moving to the side.

"Nothing, nothing" Matt said sitting back up straight.

"Matt you know I don't like you like that. You're my best friend, I don't want a relationship to ruin that, I love you way to much. Please understand." I said hoping he did.

He just looked a little shocked and just responded saying
"Ya know I'm very tired, today has been a rough day. I'm gonna sleep at the bottom of your bed goodnight."

"Goodnight" I said turning off the light and getting under my covers.

"That was weird" I told myself in my mind. I was over thinking and that lead me to sleep.

Lmao guys I know it sounds like s Matt fan fiction but it's not I'm trying not to rush things so that's why I'm explaining more but I hope you guys like the book. I have mixed feelings about it :/ but yea hope you like it so far much love, xx
