Salem's Return from Exile

Many villains wanted one of two things: to destroy the world or to rule it. Then there were others who wanted ultimate power and even others who wanted to be rich or famous. Then there were the ones who were just crazy. But you were different. You broke the laws for the thrill of it. You thought it was fun, as long as you got away with it. And you did. You ALWAYS got away with it.

He was more boring and generic with a boring and generic goal. He just wanted to take over the world... He wasn't a particularly strong warlock either, definitely not stronger than you. Salem Saberhagen... I will find you and make you fulfill your last promise. Don't think that you'll get away that easily. 100 years as a cat? I'll wait for you...

"Salem! As usual, he's sleeping." Hearing Zelda Spellman's voice, Salem opened one eye. He closed it again however, to keep up his facade. "Oh, I know what will wake him up! Salem! Dinner's ready!" Even though he knew it was a ploy, he couldn't resist looking. "See! I told you that he would wake up!"

"That's not funny, Hilda. Now, Salem, Hilda has something very important to tell you."

"Does it involve dinner?"

"Uh... Well... No..." Both sisters looked at each other, unsure of how to proceed, when yet another person entered the room.

"What's going on?" At Sabrina's voice, everyone looked up. Zelda gestured at Hilda to talk, and Hilda cleared her throat and begun.

"Well, you see... Witch Council has taken notice of Salem's good behavior and..."

Zelda spoke up, seeing her sister's distress. "They're ending his sentence early. But it's only temporary. If he still has good behavior in a year, then they'll make it permanent."

"Salem, that's great! I'm so happy for you!" Sabrina smiled and hugged him tight.

Be careful to remember our promise, little warlock. Or you might just wind up without your powers once again...
