Joey and I sat in a gay club holding hands, laughing over some stupid joke. The music was loud, people were laughing and dancing, it was going great.

This was my 3rd or 4th time going out since I was 21 because we both decided to celebrate pride month.

All of the sudden chaos broke out among the crowd and I was stunned. Gun shots and screaming filled the air. I thought to run, but my legs weren't moving.

On the other hand Joey was quick to think in situations of panic, so he pulled me out of my daze and we headed toward the bathroom, since the door was farther away.

We sprinted and pushed out way through the chaos, but I got lost in a sea of people. Joey's head disappear into the crowd as people dropped all around me. I quickly ran behind a table trying to get cover. I crouched down and pulled out my phone, tapping the screen frantically and hitting send.

These moments happened in a matter of seconds, but it felt like everyone and everything was moving in slow motion.

A shadow appeared in front of me as I ducked my head and covered my ears, helpless.

Everything went silent as I felt multiple bullets piercing my skin, hitting my chest, head, and stomach.

Pain exploded through my body as I wheezed my last breaths, trembling on the floor, dying.

Joey and I sat on the beach in Hawaii flower crowns atop our head admiring the gorgeous sunset. We leans our heads forward, eyes closed, meeting in the middle for a soft kiss.
