Here Comes Trouble...Again

As I walked beside two girls who stayed as far from me as possible, I couldn't help but wonder at my bad luck. I mean okay, if you see something crazy occasionally, what's the big deal? But seeing people with swords( real swords, mind you), seeing blue people( yes BLUE. Blue in the freaking flesh) with wings, and even goat men. THAT. IS. NOT. NORMAL.

And what more? No one believes me! Like, PERFECT. This couldn't be better. I mean sure, those things do not exist, but is it my fault they pop up if fronta me? The first time I started noticing things was when one night, I was walking home and as I passed an all night café. Whistling to myself, I glanced in. And saw two people hugging.

Now you'll ask me what's the fuss about? But these people were NOT NORMAL. The guy held a sword, and the girl looked like a hipster... With electric fingers. I mean literally... Her fingers were kinda sparking like fused plugs, if you know what I mean. I stumbled back and accidentally broke an empty beer bottle.

I mean, I almost lost it there. I would've wet myself if it wasn't for that little voice in my head saying you're just going crazy. This isn't actually happening. The Blondie and the hipster broke apart and looked at me in surprise. The guy drew his sword, yelling at me-

" Earth to Shawn" the girl on my right waved her hand in my face. That's when the realization hit me. It was the hipster girl from the café years ago! But she looked different now. Taller, muscled, and the glint in her eyes, she looked almost unrecognizable.

I won't lie. I screamed, " YOU! YOU DA HIPSTER " The girl looked at me like I was an insignificant pimple under her nose. " Excuse me? My name is Thalia."

At last, I came to my senses and said something sensible." I mean... I-I think we've met... Thalia" She raised her eyebrows in such intensity of disdain, that I got the message. Keep your mouth shut and maybe you'll live through the day.

Ohhkay. Mental note to self: Steer clear of gals like Thalia. I looked over to the other side. The other girl looked like a goddess. No, I'm not joking. She had these strong vibes that were somehow quite different from those of Thalia. Her midnight dark hair were tied up in a loose braid, out of the way. Her eyes, dark and expressive, had a sort of longing that he couldn't quite place.

" C'mon, man. We need to reach the Lady before sunset. " Thalia looked down at me. I sighed and quickened my pace. And to think that I would have to tolerate Thalia for probably more than a day.
