Harry woke up the day after, a sense of happiness filling him. He missed Hermione so much while she was away with Ron, and the fact that he got her back and got even closer last night made his heart melt. He pushed the sheets away and got lazily to his living room, finding curls exceed from the couch, letting know that Hermione was sitting on it. He bypassed the couch and saw her sitting in her pyjamas, knees to her chest, reading a book.

"Morning," he said, with a sleepy husky voice.

At the second she heard it, Hermione slipped off the world of reading and looked up, her cheeks filling with the red colour. She couldn't help but remember last night and stress about how today would be between them. Hermione simply smiled at him and rapidly shoved her nose back into the pages.

"Today is Saturday, so day off. Would you care to join me on a picnic and walk?" Harry naturally asked his best friend.

So that's how he'll react, thought Hermione. He will completely act like forgetting about last night and going along with the days ? That's mad. The witch was so frustrated to get no reaction that she almost forgot to answer Harry. He asked again, to get her out of her thoughts, impatiently.

"Oh, sure. Why not," she flatly answered, not bothering to look up.

Harry sighed at her reaction, assuming she was just on a bad mood. Of course Harry didn't forget last night, he was just too shy to even talk about it. He decided to simply shook it off as they both knew it was a mistake. The boy walked up to the kitchen, ready to have some breakfast.

It was now past midday and the duo was ready to go picnic. Hermione was wearing a floating pale pink dress with white and light yellow flowers and some pale blue sandals. She had put her hair into a ponytail and stuck her wand and some books into her magical bag that rested on her shoulder. Harry, him, had simply chose to wear a white tshirt and some blue jean shorts with white snickers. He had his wand in the back of his shorts pocket, and held in his left hand the basket filled with food for the picnic.
They were both silently walking through a field and all you could hear was the sound of the happy birds in the trees all around them.
Harry stopped walking once he saw the perfect spot and put down the basket. He took his wand and flicked it, magically opening the basket, a tablecloth getting out of it and slowly laying on the grass, as well as food and plates, the picnic making itself. Hermione took off her shoes as did Harry and they both sat down.

"It's such a beautiful day," said Hermione while placing some food onto her plate.

Harry nodded, smiling, and repeated what she was doing. After a while of silently eating, they were both laying next to each other, enjoying the sun. He looked at her and smiled. She's gorgeous, he thought. Hermione was laying down barefoot, her hands resting on her sides, her hair now free and laying between the flowers and grass, and her eyes peacefully closed. Harry looked at the sky and couldn't help but ask her something that has been burning his lips.

"Have you had any news of Ron?"
"No. He didn't send any mail, and I think that is better," she replied after a few minutes.

Harry stayed silent. He knew Ron was the reason that what happened between them was wrong. Hermione was still married to Ron and even though she left him, they were still attached to the law. That bothered Harry, he didn't know why. Of course, he saw Hermione as his best friend but lastly he started noticing her in a way he never did. And what happened last night clearly proves that he is attracted to her. But, Harry being Harry, he would never let that happen again. Not until her story with Ron is over, at least.

"You should talk to him," he whispered.

Hermione opened her eyes and looked at the sky. She knew she had to, she had to go to Ron and end things. She couldn't bear anymore their relationship, it was toxic. As much as she once loved Ron, she felt nothing but hurt whenever she thought about him now.

"I will," she simply replied, sighing and closing her eyes again.

Hermione and Harry spent the day relaxing in the sun and went for a walk around 6pm. They both enjoyed their day in silence, simply loving each other's presence. They went home after that, and Harry flicked his wand, making the basket clean itself and go back into some drawers. Hermione looked at him.

"Thank you for today, Harry. This was great," her adorable quiet voice spoke.

Hermione kissed tenderly his cheek and walked to the bathroom, to take a shower and then go straightly to bed after reading a book.
Harry couldn't stop smiling. His day was perfect. He never knew he could spend a day barely talking and still enjoy it even more than any other day. He showered after Hermione and ate some pasta before collapsing into bed, happy with his day.

The next morning, beautiful Hermione woke up feeling anxious. Today was the day that she was going to talk to Ron. She quickly showered and dressed with some simple clothes. She brushed her curly hair and slid on some shoes. Walking in the living room, she found Harry reading the daily prophet on the sofa.

"Morning, Harry!" she happily said.

Harry looked up and a huge smile escaped from his lips. He said hello back, and got up, kissing her forehead.

"Where are you going?" he curiously asked.
"Ugh, to Ron," she said, anxiously. "It is now or never, so I'm doing it,"
"You can do it, Hermione. And if you need some help, I can come," he offered.

Hermione politely declined his offer and walked towards the door. As she was about to exit, Harry called her.

"Yes?" she answered, turning around to look at him.
"I'm going back to the field this afternoon, to fly a bit on the broom. Would you join me?" he said, shyly scratching the back of his neck.
"Of course, Harry!" she replied before leaving.

This cheered her up, she was now more confident to go to Ron. I mean, after all, she was going to see Harry after this so it couldn't get better. Right ?

Harry was now ready to leave for the field, he was just waiting for her. He sat down impatiently on the sofa, moving his leg anxiously. What if he hit her? What if they argued again? What if he shot a killing curse at her?! The boy couldn't stop thinking, his mind going crazy. He was so worried for Hermione, so badly that he didn't even hear her swing the door open and run to his arms until he felt her grasp on his shoulders.

"Hermione, are you okay?!" he asked, breathing heavily.
"He refused, Harry. He didn't want to divorce. I had to argue again and as I was tired of it, I apparated back here. What am I going to do?" Hermione explained, sobbing into Harry's shoulders.

Time seemed to stop. Harry was processing all she said, and felt a huge anger spread all over him. How could Ron still hold onto something so toxic ?! He couldn't understand his decision. But that wasn't the major problem, what was, was his best friend sobbing into his arms, asking for a solution.
He slowly rubbed her back, repeating to her ear that everything was going to be alright. After a few minutes, Hermione's sobs were calming so Harry pulled away slightly to look at her.

"Do you want to stay home and not go flying ?" Harry asked.

Hermione smiled, drying her tears with the back of her hands. He is so sweet, she thought. He always cared about her more than himself, he was so much more than Ron. Harry was simply the best person you could ever meet, according to her.

"I would never miss a flying lesson, even if I just had the worst start for a day!" she replied, standing up.

Harry slid his hand into hers, smiling, and apparated to the field. He took out his wand and cursed the Accio spell, calling his Firebolt and a broom for Hermione. He jumped on his broom and looked at her.

"Come on, on mine. I'll first make you a ride and then the lesson can start!" Harry spoke, smiling, so impatient to fly again.

It has been such a while that Harry didn't get on a broom, he missed it so much. As well as Quidditch. Hermione anxiously got on the broom and swung her hands tightly around Harry's waist as he immediately flew to the sky.
This lesson was going to be interesting..
