"I'll miss you." He said.
No he won't I thought. He'll be to busy loving a British girl while I'm stuck in this small town. He'll call and say I love you, and then the next day he'll attempt to break your heart. If only he knew you haven't loved somebody in years. The fact is I only loved the thought of him breaking my heart. But, you can't break something that doesn't exist. So I stand here staring at the man- no boy- who will think he's going to break my heart.
"I'll miss you, too." I say. And as he walks down the hall to his gate I think, He never even knew I haven't cried since I was 15. And I turn and walk back to my car. As I get in, I get a text saying: I'm taking off. And send back: I can't love someone who doesn't know anything about me. So I'm sorry but we're done. Send. There is no response.
And I know I might have just broken the most fragile piece
of machinery known to man....
A Heart.
