Ron Raevsky is a painter from Maysel, West Virginia who is well known for his landscape paintings.  Till date, he has painted about 350 paintings.  His fame took off when he was made a business proposition by a gentleman who offered to create a website that would sell his paintings.  According to Ron, this is one of the most smartest decisions he made because it allowed him to be recognized for his paintings.  He would paint landscapes, and his business partner would sell them.  They agree to split the earnings 50-50. Slowly but surely, his popularity grew, and a time came when he was being asked by people to paint for them.

Currently he lives at his family estate in Maysel, and is happily married with two children.  His wife Angela  is a Spanish national,  and they met while studying in NYU.  She married him after graduation and together they moved to rural West Virginia. Having come from Madrid, which is a metropolitan city, Angela welcomed this as a pleasant change and quickly accustomed to her life.  Ron Raevsky manages the family estate which he has since grown.  He was able to buy a neighboring plot of land and has turned into a horse ranch where he gives horse riding lessons.

For the last 3 years, his wife has began planting pumpkins, and they open their estate to pumpkin pickers during Halloween.  Ronald Raevsky continues to paint, and spends time creating visual masterpieces.  He has a large following of people in and around his home town and he is often invited to paint for people.  Theirs is a tight knit community, and everyone knows about him. He is often treated like a mini celebrity, and Ron admits that although he is shy, he doesn’t mind that attention.  His most famous painting was sold for $15,000 at an auction in NY and it is called “The Awakening”.
