I woke up by the sound of my alarm clock. I looked at the clock as I stretched my arms.
9:00 am
I closed my eyes and laid back again on the bed. After a few seconds I squinted very fast as I realised I'm nearly late for my flight. I overslept. I have missed my first alarm. I got off the bed and ran to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and headed to the shower. Gggrhh. The water was so cold I can barely stand. I frozed. Jokess.
As I finished showering, I gazed back at the clock.
9:10 am
I have 50 minutes left before the flight of my dream, Paris. I excitedly got dressed, grabbed my luggages and headed to the airport. The airport is 30 minutes away from my home. As I stepped in the taxi, I checked that I have everything I need.
Passport, check.
Id, check.
Phone, check.
Luggages, check.
Translator, check. On the way, I read through a French magazine. I only know a few French words as I'm still learning the language. In fact, I'm on my my to Paris to emerse myself within the French culture. I have been chosen as an exchange student for my school. I will be studying in France for a whole month. I'm very excited but scared at the same time as it is my first time being away from my family.
...
It was already 9:50 am when I arrived at the airport. The traffic is usually not that heavy. It is as if the traffic was trying to tell me something. Like it doesn't want me to leave. Weird.
Toot!! toot!! toot!! toot!!
"Attention all passengers for flight 542, from Sydney to Paris. The plane is now ready for boarding and will leave at exactly 10 am in the morning."I looked for my seat. F19. Yes!! Next to the window. I placed my luggages on the compartment then sat down. I opened my magazine and started reading.
Let the flight begin!!!
