Rose's Are Red

I drive up the hill with my family,. we turn into our new cul-de-sac and pull into a creepy driveway. It almost looks as if it has played the role of 'the new house' many times before. It is an old mansion with cobwebs all over, we get out of the car and grab some boxes. I went to the door over the long dry grass it crunches beneath my feet as I walk up to the dark and dusty door the floorboards on the patio are dirty and cold, I put the rusty key in the lock and as I turn the key I hear a'click' and the door swings open, the house breathes a spooky hello, I put the boxes I was holding on the floor and run up the creaky steps in search of my new room. As I was walking down the long narrow hallway I saw many rooms but none as good as the one at the end of the hallway, It was a huge room with a window almost as big as the wall I could see it, my bed going in the far right corner and my dresser on the left. I run down the hallway the floorboards are screaming at me but I rush down the stairs ignoring the elderly creak's of the floor 'I've found my new room mother" I said as I was going down the stairs."Okay dear" She replied "Can I go outside now?" I asked "Sure sweetie" Dad said.

As I walked down the driveway"BANG!" I walk straight into a boy with short brown hair and green eyes,"oh umm hello my name is Benjamin Prescott" the boy said "Well hello BenjaminPrescott my name is Ayla Niles" "Well it's nice to meet you Ayla... I'm surprised to see someone finally move into that house especially after what happened to the family that lived here before you" Benjamin looked back at the house. "why what's wrong with it?" I say getting curios "Wait you haven't heard about the Red Rose?" Benjamin questioned surprised "Umm I don't think so" "Well legend has it that the Red Rose was a tool used by the Ancient Romans 2000 years ago it had amazing powers that helped everybody But when it fell in the wrong hands the power turns on everybody except the bearer. When the Romans figured this out they hid the Red Rose in a place no one would suspect" Benjamin explained. "Well in the legend does it say where it is?" I asked "Umm....no" he said sarcastically. I knew that he did know where it was and I didn't rest until he finally said where it is"The Red Rose is located Underneath you're house" "Well how do we get underneath my house?" I asked impatiently "WE DON"T" Benjamin yelled as he walked away.

I raced home And helped dad unpack. "So dad do you know anything about the Red Rose?" I asked looking for answers "NO AND YOU WON'T EITHER OKAY YOUNG LADY" Dad yelled angrily "Oliver!" Mum scolded "Don't yell at her unless there's a reason to" "Sweetie she's talking about the Red Rose" Dad said "AYLA MARY NILES HOW DARE YOU COME INTO THIS HOUSE AND SPEAK OF SUCH THINGS" Mum yelled. I stomp to my room and as I was stomping I realised the floor made a hollow noise, I looked down and saw a weird glowing through the floorboards "Hmm I wonder what that is?" I questioned I look closer and realise there was a tiny door handle and on it there was a drawing of a rose engraved on it I opened the door and saw a passageway I quickly closed the door and ran down the stairs to Benjamin's house I turn to mother "it's important" and run out the door.

 When I got next door I saw a nice green house with white wood on the edges I see a big window on the front of them house and a lot of plants surround it I go up the cracked driveway and knock on the door "knock knock" I hear footsteps inside "Who is it?" the voice said "umm its Ayla Niles" I heard the voice unlock the door and turn the door handle "Hello Benjamin you will not believe what I just found!" "What?" Benjamin asked anxiously "come with me I'll show you" I said as I grabbed his arm and dragged him to my house "oh hello Benjamin" Mother said what are you doing here" "Umm he's.... Helping me set up my room aren't you Benjamin" "Umm I was just-" "Helping me now okay see ya mum" I said as I ran upstairs "Umm what's going on" Benjamin said confused " I asked mother and father earlier about the Red Rose and they did NOT like it" I started stomping so that I would be able to find the door again "uhh what are you doing?" Benjamin questioned "stomping to hear the hollow sound and when we-" 'Thump,Thump' "I found it Benjamin" I opened the door and saw the mysterious glow just like I did before I looked to see if anyone was coming and then I went in "c-mon Benjamin don't be afraid it's a passageway that leads underneath my house what harm could it do?" I asked Benjamin " Uh a lot I'm outta here" Benjamin said as he quickly ran to the stairs "Benjamin NO" I yelled But Benjamin didn't stop I closed the door and ran after him "Why is Benjamin going so soon dear?" Mother asked "Um uh he saw a spider I'm just gonna see if he's alright" I responded as I bolted out the door "oh okay dear...have fun" 

When I got outside I heard Benjamin's front door slam so I Went over my dry crunchy grass to go see Benjamin 'knock,knock' I heard a groan "Go away I know it's you Ayla" Benjamin said "look Benjamin I just wanna talk" I tried looking through the window but Benjamin closed it as soon as I got to it "C'mon Benjamin you're being pathetic" I said as I tried looking through the window again "Fine I'll come but can we get something to eat first I'm starving" Benjamin said as he unlocked the door and let Ayla inside to eat. When I walked in I saw a staircase just like mine except his was white and it didn't creak like mine did there was a lot of family pictures on the walls there was Dark green wall paper and an archway leading into the kitchen "C'mon ya slow poke I Told ya I was hungry" Benjamin said laughing I laughed too and went into the kitchen Benjamin grabbed some bread and homemade jam "Don't forget the butter" I reminded him "We don't need butter" Benjamin exclaimed he put jam on the bread and put the other piece of bread on top "one for you and forty for me" we both laughed again and ate our sandwiches. After we finished eating and laughing we started heading to my house "hurry up Benjamin" I called "okay then" he yelled as he ran past "Last one there's a rotten egg" he laughed. 

We both got to my house and went up the stairs to the door they both started stomping to find the door "OW" Benjamin yelled "what was that" he said rubbing his foot "Um I think that was the door handle" I said "ugh stupid door handle" he said as he stood up I opened the door and went down the passageway "C'mon Benjamin I said holding out my hand "there's nothing to be afraid of" Benjamin slowly took my hand and came down shutting the door "It's so dark down here" Benjamin said "not if you're facing the right way look" Benjamin turned around and saw a red glow "Let's go"I said as I grabbed Benjamin's arm and started walking towards the light. Benjamin and me we're walking for ages until I saw an opening and there it was right in front of me it was the Legendary Red Rose I went to touch it but just before I did Benjamin goes screaming down the passageway "Benjamin what are you doing" I yelled as I started running after him "AAAAHHHHHH" Benjamin screamed "What are you running from?" I yelled as I Kept running I looked backwards and saw the red light fading so I had to choose see the legendary Red Rose or save Benjamin from the darkness I chose to see the Red Rose "Benjamin can handle a little dark... Can't he?" I thought to myself so I ran towards the disappearing light I ran as fast as I could Then I heard a huge 'BANG' "Benjamin" I screamed I ran towards him the screaming got even more intense I ran and ran for hours on end then there he was Benjamin was on the ground he had something in his pocket I opened it and there it was... The Red Rose
