'Keep it together Bokuto. You can't screw up. This fabric cost you more than you should have spent. It was worth it though... for him.'He started at the creation before my eyes. Red fabric that faded into a yellow and pink. Just like the sky on that day. The sleeves in an ombré that contrasted Akaashi's pale skin to the roaring sunset.
He wanted to see Akaashi wear it, but he knew he never would. Sitting down, Bokuto inspected the leotard again for any lose threads and mistakes for the twelfth time. With a sigh he slouched in his chair and picked up his phone.
'Hey, do you want to go skating??' Bokuto's thumb hesitated, he wondered weather it was worth asking Akaashi or not. He sent it and two minutes later revived a reply.
'Sorry Bokuto-San, I'm busy.' With a sigh, he placed his phone down and stood up.'What happened to you Akaashi'
----------------------------------------------
Busy workmen, hurrying home to meet their family's for dinner. School children giggling chasing pigeons. Leaves dancing in the sky, and Akaashi, left alone with the wind.
Akaashi was sat at a park bench, taking in the nature around him. Suddenly he saw them. Quickly getting up, Akaashi grabbed hold of his bag and started to walk away, avoiding the two girls at all costs.
'Hey Akaashiii~!' One of them shouted, causing Akaashi's heart to drop ever so slightly. Pretending to not hear them he hurried on.
'C'mon, dance for us!' The other girl teased. At this point Akaashi felt his heart stop all together. His feet froze and his body told him to turn around, to face them. So he obeyed.'Look it's pretty skater boy! Or should I say pretty gay ice princess.' They laughed. Akaashi didn't. He simply stood. Afraid.
He didn't know how the girls knew about his skating but as soon as they started saying things, he quit. But he couldn't say anything. He couldn't tell anyone. He couldn't tell people he was scared of being beaten up by two girls
Anyone except Bokuto. Akaashi often remembers the moment he told Bokuto why, and how Bokuto said that he would protect him with his life. But Akaashi lied. He said it was all over a month ago, just so that he wouldn't trouble his best friend. Having nobody to begin with, he couldn't risk to loose Bokuto with his silly complaints.
The facts were simple. He was in love with Bokuto.
Bokuto was in love with him.
But neither of them dared to face reality
