*This ISN'T the last chapter*

I need some feedback on this because I'm worried it's a bit fast, if you know what I mean? Like, A lot happens in one chapter. And I don't think I explain it well enough.

Oh, you guys can be the judge.

Be honest please! :3 if you do comment, that is :)

Hope you like it!

“Ken! Hi, it’s Chaz,” I say cheerfully down the phone. A face-to-face meeting with Ken wouldn’t have been appropriate today as I’d have smacked him across the face numerous times already. “Listen, I just need to clarify something Beth told me the other day? See, she overheard you talking to your girlfriend, and I was wondering whether or not her name’s Freya? Because you know what, I think I’ve figured out who your girlfriend is.”

From the silence I hear on the other end of the phone it’s clear to assume that Ken understands my tone – he knows I’ve sussed them out. I grin hugely.

“I’ll take that as a yes, then?” I prompt.

“You don’t know what you’re talking about,” he scoffs, “Why don’t we meet up at a café or something and we can talk this over?”

“Ooh, so sorry but I’m busy at the moment!” I say without an ounce of being sorry. “And there’s pretty long walk between Holmes Chapel and London,” I tell him.

“What are you doing in London?” he asks quickly, sounding panicky.

“Meeting a friend. I think you know her? She’s just as sly and sick as you are, so it’s no wonder you get on like a house on fire,” I spit into the phone. At that moment I spy Freya across the street, gliding along the pavement towards the gym, oblivious to my presence. “Gotta go,” I tell Ken and hang up.

Somehow I’d managed to avoid smashing Ken in the face with every object I passed, but I did it up until now, Saturday. Beth helped me hide, to be honest. She had me hiding out in the library and the drama theatre and everywhere else I’d rarely be seen. Of course I explained things to my other friends and pleaded that they act as normal as possible around Ken, but don’t give away my hiding spots.

I practically skip across the road, driven by my anger and twisted desire to see this pathetic Freya girl just as hurt as I was and just as panicky as Ken was just now.

It’s quite early so I’d say it’s rare for there to be many people in this particular gym on Saturday morning, which is lucky for me. As far as I can tell so far on my silent walk through the corridors, it’s empty apart from Freya and myself.

I easily locate the locker room and edge my way inside, finding Freya in a far corner switching her heels for dance shoes. Turning a corner so I’m in her line of view I make my feet heavier, causing my footsteps to echo. She looks up and smiles, though shocked.

“Chaz! What’re you doing here? Oh and I heard about your break up with Harry, I’m so sorry!”

“I bet you are,” I reply. “You don’t look very sorry though. And surely if a person was truly sorry they wouldn’t have two boyfriends on the go would they…or at least they wouldn’t be trying to get another?”

Freya laughs as if she’s confused, “Chaz are you feeling OK?”

“Stop pretending, Freya, and just admit it,” I demand, shaking my head.

“Admit what?” she asks innocently. She’s a terrible actor, though, and he innocence overpowers confusion, so she appears as if she’s mocking me – or is that her intention?
