"I never loved someone more than you. Isn't that tragic?" The woman chuckled.

He couldn't think of anything to say.

She spoke up again, "A closer step to achieve your goal, that is all I want." The woman said, sadness filling up her eyes,  "and you do not need me for it."

Yet again, he remained silent.

The female raised a hand cupping his cheek, wiping the tears he fought back so hard. "Don't let me be a hindrance hm?"

Not realizing, the man before her nuzzled his face against the female's hand, his eyes closing as he tightened his grip around her. She was the only one who understood him and his true intentions, yet why did he let this happen to her?  Since when had he been so reckless?

"Maybe Tom," she gave one of the best smiles she could muster, cutting him out from his train of thoughts– but it was obvious her body was failing her. Her hand was already shaking violently but her mind kept refusing death to overcome her so quickly.

"M-maybe everything will be alright. Just maybe, when the s-star—"

And like that, she was gone.

"—stars align for us," he breathed out.

He was crying.

She was gone.
