Ironically, since summer started I've been staying the whole entire day in my uncleaned apartment. I wasn't up to the invitations I get from friends telling me to join them to clubs and get wasted. And when I mean friends, friends from clubs. I've never had real friends. And I had no time for that shit. I loved being alone. It makes me happy being alone. Not without a cigarette in my hand. I've been smoking since semester started. I figured it would be fun to smoke all day and so I did. Anyway, uni is no fun at all.
I had to enrol late since my ratty old mother decided to give birth right at the first day of enrolment. She gave birth to a skinny and scrawny baby boy named Darwin Teal. He wasn't my real brother for your information. He was my 4th brother from another father. I was the original one. The first. Mom decided to name me Rayjess. Yea I know. What mother would name her daughter Rayjess. Anyway, since that day she gave birth, I decided to just live by my own. I went through the whole city looking for an apartment. I wouldn't have to pay for the expenses, noo, my dad will. He works as a civilised banker in upstate New York. I shan't need to worry. Now that is summer, I decided to visit my dad on the 15th of July. I hated the fact that I still care about my dad. Even though he still gives me everything I needed. But what I truly need is his love. He keeps on insisting for me to make friends while I was on summer break. Maybe because, he always sees me alone or yet, not having company. My company is Music. And my cigarettes.
I am complete with that.

It was a Sunday afternoon and I had a plan of buying my 2nd pack of cigarettes for this week. I've been having breaks these past weeks. But now Im back at it again.
I wore my maroon coloured hoodie on with my hair up into a messy bun. Earphones inserted in my ears while holding the last piece cigarette from the last pack. For one last time, I went over to see the view from my balcony window, It was breath taking. The sun was going down and birds were flying everywhere in the sky.
Took one last glance and went down to get a new set of cigars.
"Hey tony wassup man?" I gave tony, the seven eleven shop clerk, a high five. He was one of my club mates. So literally I got free Cigarettes from him.
"Up for a party today at 7:00pm in east avenue?" He said while handing me a pack of favourite brand of cigarettes.
"Nah nah, im not in the mood T." I said with a straight on face. Sure I wasn't. Tony rolls his blue raided eyes at me giving me a look of sympathy.
"Aw come on Jess, you need to get a life. We can hook up later if you want too?" Tony said with a smirk in his face.
"Its a no no Tony Stark. I already told you. I. Am. Not. In. The. Mood." After I had said that, Tony understood my call and said better luck next time and off he went, busy re-arranging the newspapers.
He was cool and all but something about what will gonna do isn't right.
I took the easiest route to where my apartment is, it takes about 5 minutes. Not too bad.
Before I could put down the cigarette pack I was holding on the table, My phone rang.
"Uh hey who is this?" I asked.
"Hey Ray its me Eugene."
Eugene? Who is Eugene?
"I don't think I know you." I said suspiciously.
"I was in the club that day and I asked you your name and number."
Oh. Club. I get it.
"Oh. Um well, hey Eugene hows it going?" I asked because why would he call me this late at night?
"Well, I thought you would mind to come with me in a party in east avenue.
East avenue? Isn't that the party Tony asked me to come to?"No thanks. I'm awkwardly busy and since I have a lot of crap homework to do, I have to go now, really sorry Eugene." I said and I made sure I sounded dead serious.
