"Don't just stand mute you dumbo, speak up," Andy spoke loftily. I stood quiet while playing with my curls. Can an angel come through the window and vanish me away?
"I-want-to-go-to-the-party.." I muttered. "Oh that's pretty obvious, right? You were planning to go there behind our back!!" Alex hissed and I shrunk back in fear.
"Because this is how you react when I wanna come to the parties," I whined. "Because this is a damn senior party, you fool!" Alex snapped. "It's OK, Alex. Let's ask permission for Ria from Logan instead," Andy said and was heading towards the door and Alex was following him.
I saw him leaving through the door and knew it's now or never. I ran down the stairs overtaking them and landed in the dining hall and started searching for mom.
"What are you up to, young lady?" Andy asked from behind and I saw mom and dad in the hall. "Hey, mom!" I reached to panting. "Hey Ree, what's up?" Mom sat me beside her.
"Mom, can I ask you something?" I asked her, and Alex and Andy too came in by the time.
"Anything, dear." mom said. She was the best savior I could ask for.
"Mom, can I go to this senior party this Saturday night?" I asked her.
"Sure baby, go ahead." Mom cooed to me. Yes!!!
"Mom no, don't let her. It's for seniors only." A monster named Andy spoke from behind.
"No, mom! Freshmen can go too but with approved passes." I snapped. I couldn't let them win this time. "Andy, if she wants to go then take her with you, won't you?" Dad to pitched in. Yayyy!!!
1-0
"Where is Ria going?" John interrupted while coming down the stairs.
"John, Ria is going to the senior party, she has even arranged for a pass it seems," Alex complained to John.
1-1.
"Ria, you remember last time? You pulled a tantrum for five minutes to step out of our reach and everyone knows what happened." John said.
1-2. OMG!!
"Mom, Dad I promise, I'll behave this time." I ignored John and went back on negotiating.
"See, she has agreed to behave so you guys should take her with you. And why should we worry when she will go with you guys?" Mom argued.
2-2
"Besides, you guys tormented her enough today, so she deserves this." Mom declared and all three of them kept silent.
3-2. Game over, I win!!!
"Thanks, mom!!" I hugged her. "No problem, hun" Mom replied hugging me back.
"What's going on, you guys?" Jack asked as he and Logan entered home.
They have been really busy with the new part-time job they joined. I wonder how they manage their college and job and still take out time to govern us. "Nothing special, guys. Come, sit." Dad patted the seat next to him.
"Ria was just asking if she could go to some senior party and we agreed to it," Dad grinned. "Oh, I see," Logan chuckled as he and Jack seated themselves. He knew that mom and dad were my only option to get away with my choices and I slouched a little knowing that he sensed my trick.
"By the way, Logan and Jack, I need to talk to you guys," Dad said to them and he looked more serious now. "Yeah, dad," Jack said.
"I called Garry, umm to say hi, it has been nearly a week that we left from there," Dad said slowly and mom patted his hand showing him the support. We all were quiet now.
