Disaster [Once Upon a Time] (Wattys 2016)

Prologue/ Introduction

A suggestion by crimmsyn to help introduce the story for those who do not necessarily watch the TV show Once Upon a Time. My story picks up at the end of season 5, as a "what will happen next?" kind of fan fiction while the show is on break over the summer.

"There is a town in Maine where every story book character you've ever known is trapped between two worlds, victims of a powerful curse" (OUAT Season 1 opening).

Many storybook characters have been transported to Storybrooke, a town in Maine, where they live as real people that do not know that they are fairytales. Soon, Emma the Savior (daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming) discovers Storybrooke thanks to her long lost son Henry. Emma is the only one that can break the curse that the Evil Queen has placed upon the characters that erased their memories. Eventually Emma breaks the curse, and all of the citizens of Storybrooke remember their true identities as storybook characters.

In season 5, part B, Emma's one true love, Hook, is killed and taken into the Underworld by Hades. Emma, Regina, David, Mary Margaret, and Henry must find a way to save Hook, so they venture into the Underworld and eventually find him (over the course of about seven episodes). Then, Hades figures out how to leave the Underworld with Emma and company and follows them back to Storybrooke. Henry decides that it's time to put an end to magic because it's always causing problems and killing loved ones, so he explores how to destroy it.

In the meantime, Hades kills Regina's only love, Robin Hood, and this fuels Henry's quest to destroy magic even further. However, Hades kills himself in the action of killing Robin. Regina begins to transform back into the Evil Queen because of her anger and despair about the death of Robin, but they catch the symptoms quickly and find a cure to separate her from her evil self. So Regina separates from Evil Queen and kills her evil self. What she doesn't know is that she didn't really kill her, and now the Evil Queen is coming back for revenge on Regina.

Lastly, a portal opens up and David, Hook and Mary Margaret fall into the world of Jekyll and Hyde. They quickly figure out how to get out, but Mr. Hyde and Doctor Jekyll follow them into Storybrooke with intentions of  causing chaos.
