" Happy Birthday to you!" everyone finished as Kendra blew out her candles. Another birthday without hearing from her father. Kendra's mom said he was traveling the world and harley had time to write or call. There were no photos of her father except in her mother's room, and when she went in there, her mother hid them. Kendra's grandparents never talk of him, says he's a disgrace.
I only he'd send her one letter this year.
And it seemed he had when the mail man came and put the mail through the slot. Kendra ran to the door and searched for his letter. And find it she did!

She showed her mom and opened it right there. Mrs.Rookwood seemed very suspicious about it. No one knew Kendra, beside her friends. But the handwriting was to delicate to bean eleven year old's.
It was not in fact a letter from Kendra's dad, but a letter from Hogworts. School of witchcraft and wizardry.
