He put his headphones
On
Telling his friend He
Was done
Talking.
He turned it up as loud
As he would
Dare,
Trying to interrupt
The world around
Him,
Trying to mute the
Voices inside his own
Head.
He got caught in the
Song,
And closed his eyes,
Once he did,
He stopped caring that
The bus wheels
where groaning,
And tried to make
Himself invisible,
By hiding himself
Inside the beat,
Of that song that
Told him to stay strong.
And then he ripped
His favorite headphones out,
Of his ears,
And stared out the window
Of the drowned world
On the other side of the
Glass.
Because he just couldn't
Handle being told to stay
Strong
One more
Time.
