He crept slowly, quietly down the moonlighted path, fur coat wrapped tightly around him. His electric blue eyes shown brightly against the dim world and his lips pulled into a playful smirk as he watched his prey in front of him.

She turned around, the sound of a breath catching in her throat as she gazed at the path behind her. There was no one. As she turned her head to proceed forward again, her thick brown curls bounced around her heart-framed face, and her light steps echoed down the cobblestone road.

His dark hair splayed wildly around his face, and fangs poked his bottom lip. He was hungry, it was now or never. He could hear the delicate heartbeat of the young mistress', drum beneath her bosom, the faint perfumed smell of her skin. His mouth watered exuberantly and as he lifted his arms, and dashed towards her, he-

"Hey...Jaydn? Are you listening?"

My head snapped up. "What?"

Micah frowned at me, he was holding something in his hand...a collection of papers...

"Damn't, Jaydn! You weren't listening? That was pure gold!"

I looked down at where my head was resting and found drool. 'Oops, I think I fell asleep.'

Micah threw his hands in the air, exasperated with me. "I mean, really? I thought girls liked vampire stories like this."

"Micah, that's ridiculous and you know it." I lifted my legs from my laying position on the couch and placed them on the floor of my living room, wiggling my toes in my randomly colored socks. I had bought them from the nearest dollar store a while back.

"Oh come on! Think of how big the romantic vampire fanbase is. I bet ninety-nine percent of its fans are girls and the rest are gay guys with good taste."

"So do you belong to that one percent?" I inquired.

"Ha," Micah leaped from the sofa's arm. "...I prefer werewolves."

I fought a snort and rolled my eyes, ignoring his theory about why werewolves are a hundred times better than vampires and how they would win in an all out brawl. It's not like I preferred vampires over werewolves or even werewolves over vampires, I just didn't care...even if I do prefer warlocks overall.

"Wait, Jaydn, before I forget....what happened?"

"What do you mean?

"You know....with the after school Spanish tutoring.

"Uhm..." Immediately, my face changed to scarlet.

Micah's eyebrow lifted, he seemed puzzled, yet suspicious at the same time.

"Wait...what happened? Was there a guy?"

I coughed. "No."

"A girl?"

I couldn't say anything. I didn't want to lie.

Abruptly, Micah let out an enormous gasp; he sounded as if his soul was being sucked from him.

"There was someone! A girl wasn't it?"

His eyes brightened, and his lips spread into a great grin. He acted the way he always does when he's excited; as if his body is going to collapse from all the energy stored within.

He suddenly pounced onto the sofa beside me, grabbing my arm and shaking me happily.

"Tell me what happened! Was she cute?"

"Uh..."

More shaking. "Jaydn!"

"Fine, fine! I'll tell you, but just let go of me!"
