"Oh, but I never lie
'Cause I'm yours, you're mine"
Scott's POV (A/N this is scolex because i just can't bring myself to not write a scolex –oneshot when this is such a scott x alex –song... hope that's okay, otherwise just skip this one and scomiche will be back in the next one :) ((there's lots of platonic scomiche in this one as well tho))
(another author's note from current me editing: i wrote this a while ago but imma post it now (tbh i completely forgot i had finished it already) but it should be alright still even though it's been a couple months)
Mitch was dancing with some British boy he'd flirted with the whole night. They looked like they were really getting cozy, and I was filled with happiness for Mitch as I watched them dance. We'd been working so hard and touring non-stop for a while now, so we definitely deserved this free weekend. And I enjoyed the partying too, just more from the 'drinking and dancing-by-myself' perspective.
I had zero interest in finding company and had already declined a few offers for drinks. Instead I danced around and tried to forget the homesickness threatening to take over. Europe was great and tour was great but I missed home. And by that I meant I missed Alex.
Of course I missed other people as well and Wyatt and Ryan so on, but mostly I missed Alexander. He hadn't been able to be here for this leg of tour and I felt like we'd been apart for so long that I was starting to forget exactly how he talked, smelled, and how his hands felt on my skin. And it was not a nice feeling. So here I was, tipsily dancing alone and trying to focus on something else than the uncomfortable feeling in the pit of my stomach.
But at the same time, I kind of didn't want it to go away. Thinking about Alex made me happy in a weird way even now when all I wanted was to be by his side. I wonder if he's awake and thinking about me like I am about him...
I shook my head to clear my thoughts and headed back to the bar, another drink would surely help. This was probably going to be my last one because I knew I could become reckless and wild when too drunk, and that was not what I was looking for tonight. Yeah, I was the crazy energetic drunk when it came to that.
The girl serving drinks came with a martini and I sat down, sipping the drink carefully. I took out my phone in lack of anything better to do and opened my chat with Alex. I typed in a few words and the alcohol in my system made me ready to send pretty much anything without even reading it through.
[To: Alexander
i miss you bby it feels so emptyu without u]
I noticed the typo only after having sent the message but he was used to them so it'd be fine. I put down my phone and drank the rest of the martini. I saw Mitch in the jumping crowd again, this time alone. He was looking around the room and when his eyes found mine he started walking towards me.
'We Found Love' came on and at the same time Mitch reached my side with a tipsy glint in his eyes and a wide smile on his face. This was good, being around him usually made me forget about most of my worries. He was like family to me and knew exactly how to make me smile.
"There's a swimming pool! I've been looking for you." He told me.
"Here I am. I just got another drink." I answered him and he tilted his head at me from where he stood.
"There's a swimming pool." He repeated and when I still gave no reaction, he offered his hand to help me get off the chair. "I know you miss him, but now we're going swimming." He said I actually did get up, leaving the drink on the table. His facial expression told me he understood my feelings in some way but also that I should enjoy life and stop sulking. And he was right. So swimming we went.
