"Hello?" A young female voice answered.
"Um, Hi! Is this Madi?" I spoke, a bit nervous. I hoped this would work well. To convince my family I was going to London no matter what they said. "Yes! Are you calling about the add?" She asked, confused. "Yeah, I was interested in going to London, but I can't live alone." I admitted. I loved her cheery voice, she seemed so nice. "Oh, well. Can I have your name?" Madi questioned, as I could hear her open a drawer and click a pen. "Luna, Luna Foster." I replied, as I heard my mum come up the stairs. "Sorry this is short notice but could I call you later and we can text for now?" I said fast, startling her a bit. "Of course. Thanks for calling!" She reassured, as I hung up.
"Luna Rose who on earth are you blabbering to at this time of night?" My mum spat. "It's only 4:00 mum, get real." I sassed. I didn't need her to tell me what not to do, I was 19 not 4! She slapped my face. Hard. Making me wince at the sudden wave of pain. "Shape up, or you aren't leaving this house for a month!" She yelled. "Actually, I'm leaving now." I hissed, pushing her out of my room and slamming the door shut. I locked it.
"Fuck." I whispered to myself, grabbing my suitcase. I began shoving clothes in, along with some necessities. I also made the effort to grab my cello and my music, while I held my suitcase in the other. "LUNA IF YOU DON'T OPEN THE GOD DAMN DOO-" Mum shouted, as I toppled over her and down the stairs. "Tell the siblings I love them!" I put in, as I ran out the door and into a taxi. "Take me to Poway avenue!" I commanded, closing the trunk of the car and hopping in.
*le time skip*
I figured Kenzie would let me stay at her place for a little while until I could get to London. I knocked on her door, barely holding myself up. "Luna! Wait wh-" Kenzie greeted in shock. "I'll explain later." I said, walking into her house and setting all of my belongings down. She shut the door, coming over to my hotmess self. "I ran away from home..." I sighed, beginning to feel tears stream down my face.
