Last night was a blur. Safia had no idea how she got home from her date with Edward. The last thing she remembered was him calling a cab from her apartment on the Upper West Side. Did she sleep with him? Did they use protection? The questions began to swirl around her mind like a tornado. She was uncertain whether or not Edward was a gentleman or just another jerk that only wanted one thing. She got out of bed and walked over to her dresser then examined at her naked reflection in the mirror. She pressed her hand against her cheek then down the side of her neck. The pulsing headache from the hangover caused her to squint her eyes and grimace in pain. Safia turned away from her pitiful reflection. A wave of embarrassment flowed through her as she remembered the events that took place hours before. The things she did. The things she let him do to her. She felt filthy. She felt used. But at least she felt something. She went into her bathroom and took a hot shower in an effort to wash away her guilt but would fail to do so just like every other attempt...
