I remember the first time I saw him. He was clad in short yellow trunks that seemed too tight. Expensive sunglasses on the bridge of his nose and a snapback laid against his chest. His unruly brown curls tangled and wet. He looked deep in thought; so deep he didn't notice the seagull stealing the snacks by his head. I felt bad for the poor boy but was too amused by his daydreaming to tell him of the thief.

I shook my head trying to smother my loud laugh. I squinted my dark eyes, him being farther than I thought. The tanned stranger was well built from what I could see, tattoos running up his left bicep and some scattered across his chest.

I scolded myself for the creepy staring and managed to look away. I refocused on the writing prompt in front of me, determined to finish the essay so I could enjoy the few weeks left of summer. The blank paper making me more and more frustrated. I got bored of the prompt so fast that I decided to look back to the boy further down the beach, surprised at his sudden disappearance.

The stranger was still on my mind as I started to pack up, the sun setting on the horizon. I pushed my dark hair out of my eyes as I looked at the sunset once more before heading down the path to my house.

I had a strange feeling that I'd see the handsome stranger again.
