I don't want to be left in this war tonight,
Am I alone in this fight?
Is anybody out there?
Don't want to be left,
Left in this world behind,
Say you'll run to my side.

Nicos P.O.V

Still undefeated, the Butcher strikes again.

I feel the ref lift my arm up. My hearts pounding. My adrenaline is pumping. My ears are ringing with the sounds of people's cheers.

But- cher!
But-cher!
But-cher!

Yet, I'm not focused. The only thing I'm worried about is the girl.

Phil leads me back to the dressing room. I open the door and to my surprise, the girl has awoken.

"Hey," I softly say to her, " how you holding up? You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you for saving me. I owe you one," she replies.
"No you don't owe me one. You owe no one nothing." I was about to say something else when I heard the door open.

Dr. Maggie walks in holding an ice pack, water and a snack tray. She hands the girl the ice pack and the water. She puts the snack tray on the table. I reach out to grab one but recoil my hand as Dr. Maggie slaps my hand.

"No. It's not for you. It's for Rose, she needs all the strength she can get."
"Rose?" I say confused, "ohhh, so your name is Rose?" She nods in reply. "Pretty name. I'm Nicos."
"Well Nicos, you can have a snack if you want," she offers.
"No it's alright, you need it more than I do," I decline.
"If you say so." Rose shrugs, grabs a snack off the snack tray and stuffs her mouth.

"When you're done with your food, just let me know, I'll tell Phil to drop you off at your house," I say, putting my things in my duffel bag.
"Oh, umm...," she trails off, "I don't have a home," she says with her head down, sounding ashamed.

Those words make me freeze in my place. "What? So you mean you don't have any place to stay?" I inquire.
Rose just shakes her head in response.
After a moment of awkward silence, a light goes off in my head.

"You could stay at my place," I offer, "you could stay in the spare bedroom." She hesitates for a moment. "Uh, I don't know, I'm not really sure about that. Don't get me wrong, I would love that, it's just, I don't want to be a burden. "Nonsense. You won't be a burden. I have enough room in my house for the both of us. I'll give you some money and you can go shopping for the things you ne-" I'm cut off by arms wrapping around my waist.

"Thank you thank you thank you. I can't believe you're letting me stay. I can't repay you enough. Thank you." She cries. "Hey, hey, why are you crying? It's okay, everything's gonna be alright," I soothe.
"No it's happy tears. I just, I cant thank you enough."
"It's okay now. Come on, let's go home," I say as I pick up the snack tray and hold the door open so Rose could exit.

"Yeah. Let's go. Wait, I have one question. Who was the one cussing when I woke up?"
