Glad You Came One Shot
****
He was a trash back then. He didn't value his own life. He doesn't know how to appreciate things around him. He won't walk onto someone's else matter unless it's him who concerened it.
He's just a typical type of a guy who comes to school to take a nap during class hours. Not minding those people around him who's busy doing their things.
He would tell her mom that he's attending class even though he really don't just for the sake of his allowance. Just to get enough money to play some kind of computer games.
He sneak from his classes just to meet his buddies. He get drunk and he smoke.
In short, he's a total jerk.
But what they didn't know, there's a big story behind all of his acts.
He was once a broken one.
He'd been played around. A girl wasted all his worth.
He was once suffer from a deep heart ache.
He was once a victim of the past.
But one time, a girl bumped into him while he's on a rush. The girl didn't fell on the ground unlike her things that are now scrambled.
"Uh.. I'm sorry." He didn't utter a word, he just stared at the girl with amusement in his eyes.
Days passed but the girl's face still on his mind. He focused his attention on his addictionㅡcomputer games. But it doesn't make any sense. It's still there. The girl who looks so innocent and yet, mesmerizing.
Day by day, he's wishing for him to bump with that girl again. He wants to take one more glimps of her but what he didn't expected came. His wish was granted but it's more than his wish who happened.
The girl he's been longing for was now standing few meters away from him. She's his classmate. His classmate who he didn't notice because he doesn't give a thing before. It's his classmate who he didn't know that was looking at him everytime he's on his desk taking a nap.
He took the chance and befriend her. They are always with each other. He walked her to her house. Every after class. Everyday.
Until he realized he already fell for her.
That girl already have his heart.
"I.. I'm inlove with you." One night, he confessed. He couldn't take it anymore. For the passed days, weeks, it was her who he has. It was her who changed him again. It was her who made his world turn again. "I love you."
"I love you, too."
Everytime and then, they were with each other. Totally ignoring the whole wide world. They were completely drown with each other. Thinking that each other was their endpoint.
They must say, it was beyond perfect. Magical than it was before. A happily ever after.
But a rattle came.
His past lover came back. It was now standing in front of them.
For him, he doesn't care anymore. It is fine that she's back but he doesn't care. He won't mind. Because he's already with someone. With the one he loves.
"I'm dying.. p-please, I want you beside me." His past lover pleaded. He stopped for a while and continued walking holding his girlfriend's hand.
But she let go of his hands. Freeing him from their bond. Setting him free for the one who need him the most. For the one who's dying and the only wish was to be with him. To be with the man they loved.
He accepted it. He let go of her because that what's she wants. He stayed beside his ex-girlfriend. But never treated her the way how he treated her before. He was beside her but she feels nothing.
A year passed and his ex-girlfriend recovered from it's disease. He begged her for his freedom. He cried in front of her because he badly wants to be with the one who he truly love.
But it's too late.
He came back for her but it's too late.
After hearing the letter that was read by the mother of the girl he loves, he vent down. His world shattered. His life was now back to it's dark side.
"I'm sorry for not telling you this, but I'm dying. The day I let go of you, I was dying. I was about to tell you that, but she came. She needs you, and I'd let go of you. Because I don't want to be selfish. I don't want her to suffer much pain so I gave you back. I'm sorry, I love you."
She's gone. She leaved him for good and there's no turning back.
If only he could turn back time, he would probably not let go of her.
He stood in front of her tomb and murmured the things he wanted to say before and would say it over and over again.
"I love you, Anna. I'm glad you came."
