Alice's POV:
I groaned and sat up in bed, looking around the small room. It was a sort of red room with stuffed animals and pictures. I got up out of the bed and walked out to what appeared as a living room. A goat woman was sitting a chair reading. She looked up when I walked in and smiled. "Oh your awake my child. I'm glad your feeling better. Do you remember how you got down here?" I nodded. She stood up and motioned for me to follow her to the kitchen. "You can tell me about it over some cinnamon-butterscotch pie and some milk." I followed the lady into the kitchen and told her what I remember. I found out her name is Toriel and that another kid named Frisk fell not too long ago. I told Toriel that I appreciate her help and kindness but I wanted to find a place of my own and get a job. She recommended going to a town called Snowdin. She gave me some gold and spare clothes, along with a coat and some old boots that would help keep me warm. She offered for me to stay for the night but I figured it must be better to go ahead and start moving towards the town. She let me out of the big wooden doors and waved me off. it was pretty cold but I wasn't affected much since the coat, boots, and clothes were insulated and thick. I saw a few sentry stations on my way and a few deactivated puzzles as well as a plate of frozen spaghetti. I eventually arrived in Snowdin and found out that the Inn was booked. I got a few strange looks but I wasn't much scared or anything of the people that lived here. The monsters varied in sized and personality and each monster was unique. Humans are often similar or the same. I got a few stares but after about an hour everyone stopped staring at me. I sat on a frozen bench and sighed. I couldn't go back to Toriel's she's already helped me so much. I looked up at the sky to see the fading pink and orange colours of the sunset. I closed my eyes and sighed. I felt a small warm hand grab mine and I looked down to see a small kid. This must be the human child that fell a while ago that Tori told me about. I blinked and smiled. "Hello there. I'm Alice. What's your name?" The kid smiled. "I'm Chara! Wanna play with me?" I started to answer before a deep male voice cut in. "Don't mind her. She doesn't play fair anyway. I'm Sans. Sans the Skeleton. You must uh be causing all the buzz that there's a new human." I smiled a bit, quietly answering the skeleton. "Yeah I guess that's me. I'm Alice." The skeleton had a grin plastered on his face. He was short but he was taller than me. His little pinprick eyes stared at my face. "Hey kiddo why don't you come on over to our house to warm up a bit. Your lips are blue. And uh there's snow covering your hair heh. And there's about to be a snow storm so I don't think you wanna get caught in that." I nodded. "If it's not too much trouble I wouldn't mind." The skeleton seemed to grin a bit more. "Alright. Oh and my brother really likes humans so he might get a bit excited heh. Oh and uh Chara's big sister Frisk is there too. She wasn't feeling up.to coming out in the snow today." I nodded and gave him a small smile. I'm not very social I never have been on the account of social anxiety and all. I got up off the bench and followed Chara and Sans to the house, which wasnt far actually. Chara rambled on about how great Frisk is and how frisk wants to free all the monsters to the surface. She didn't seem too excited about it. Sans opened the door and let us in first. I looked over to the couch to see a girl with brown short hair similar to Chara's. She smiled and signed something to Sans. Sans sat next to Frisk on the couch. "Oh yeah that's Alice. She's gonna be staying with us for a bit." He said. I kind of stood there awkwardly and waved. Frisk spoke up softly. "Welcome. I'm glad to meet someone new. I'm Frisk. Sorry if I don't speak often I prefer to use sign language instead. My voice has been a bit sore lately so forgive me if I don't speak much." I smiled and nodded. "It's okay I don't mind." Sans looked back at me with a lazy grin. "You can sit down y'know kid." I nodded and sat down on the couch on the other side of Frisk, watching the weird show on the screen. It was about some gay robot. After a while Sans stood up. "So since Frisk is sleeping on the couch, Alice you'll have to sleep in my brothers room. He won't be back from extended training until tomorrow so you can stay there. I would offer you my room but it's uh heh a real mess." I nodded. "That's okay thank you so much for letting me stay here for a while." He smiled, a genuine grin. "Of course I couldn't just let you freeze out there." I laughed a bit. "Yeah. I owe ya though. Really, thank you." He blushed a bit. "Just being a nice guy." I smiled. "Goodnight Sans, goodnight Frisk and Chara." Frisk smiled and signed what I assumed to be goodnight and Chara hugged me. "Night Alice!" I giggled and Sans showed me to his brothers room. I walked in and shut the door, looking around in my bag and putting on the pj's Tori gave me. She gave me a couple other sets of clothes that were my size that I assumed were spare. I got into the race car bed and sighed, closing my eyes and letting myself drift to sleep.
