Archery was always one of (Y/n)'s greatest talents. Being a daughter of Apollo, it wasn't suprising when she was picked to help teach the camp archery.

"All right everyone!" Yelled Will Solace. "Take your positions on a target!"

"Remind me why I have to learn archery again?" Nico grumbled as he took position next to Piper. "Well, first of all you suck at it." Piper chuckled and Nico huffed. "And second." She gestured towards (Y/n) who was instructing Katie Gardner how to hold a bow. Nico blushed bright red at this. "I-I don't know what you're talking about." He stammered. Piper raised an eyebrow. "Don't deny it death breath." She said. Nico sighed in frustration. "Is it that obvious?" "Not really." Piper shrugged "Must be an Aphrodite thing." "Don't tell Jason." Nico said quickly. "He won't stop talking about it if he knew." Piper chuckled. "All right."

As the lesson began, Nico had missed the target for the sixth time. He groaned and slumped to the ground for a break. He looked around observing the campers that were attempting to hit the target straight in the middle until his eyes caught sight of a paticular daughter of Apollo helping Adam from the Aphrodite cabin.

"All right Adam, back straight, arms locked in position, focus and.." (Y/n) instructed "Shoot!" As Adam let go of the arrow, it hit the target precisely in the middle. "I did it.." He said to himself "I did it, (Y/n)!" He cheered and (Y/n) laughed cheerily.

From the other side of the arena Nico di Angelo scowled. He got up and notched another arrow. He tried to concentrate despite the jealousy boiling inside him, he let go and the arrow missed once again. He sighed sadly. "Need some help?" A familiar voice said. Nico looked up and saw (Y/n) beaming at him with her signature bright and gleaming smile, what to expect? She's a daughter of Apollo.
"Okay, so show me your aiming position." She said and Nico did as she said. "Right, I see the problem." She moved closer and began adjusting his arm. "You need to station your hand like this, and your elbows like this." By now Nico's face was bright red and flushed with embarrassment. "Loosen up a little Nico." (Y/n) said gently. "No need to tense. Take deep breaths." Nico took a long intake of air, then he released the arrow. It stuck perfectly in the center. Nico faced to (Y/n) and Grinned widely, to which she returned. "You look good when you smile." She said and Nico felt his cheeks get hotter. "You should do it more often." (Y/n) walked away but not without giving Nico a wink.

Since then, Nico took archery on a daily basis and eventually became very close friends with (Y/n).
