Year Fifteen

It was the year I was finally gonna do it.

I had most of it planned.

All but the date and time.

I knew it had to be a little after our anniversary.

And around seven or nine o'clock at night.

But I still wasn't sure when.

But I already had everything else.

I knew the place.

I knew the table.

I could get the whole place reserved for us only.

And I even had the ring.

The place was your absolute favorite place to go as a kid.

You had so many memories there.

I know, because you've told me all of them.

I knew the table, because every time we went there, you always sat at the exact same one.

I could get it reserved because I was actually good friends with the new manager.

And the ring was expensive, but it was absolutely perfect.

I was so excited for the day to come, but at the same time terrified.

But I knew you would say yes.

And the look on your face when I asked you, it was absolutely amazing.
