-Mark POV-

"Need help with your bags?" I asked Jack as we pulled up to my house.

"Nah, I got them." Jack said, even though he was obviously struggling to grab his last bag.

"Here." I said, grabbing the bag from him.

Jack rolled his eyes and smiled. We made our way up to the door and I tried to grab my keys from my back pocket, but I was having some trouble.

"Look who needs help now." Jack said, chuckling as he grabbed the keys for me.

"Haha. Thanks." I said, as he unlocked the door.

We both walked in and Chica ran to the door to meet us.

"Hi Chica." Jack said, dropping his bags to pet her.

"She likes you." I chuckled as Chica tried to lick Jack's face.

"She's so cute! I want a dog so bad." Jack said, standing up and picking up his bags once again.

"Okay, so I have a guest bedroom upstairs, so we can take your stuff up there." I said, making my way to the stairs.

Jack nodded and followed me. I was super nervous. We had agreed to wait until we got back to my house and Jack got unpacked to talk, and we were halfway there. I opened the door up and dropped the bag I had on the bed.

"I'll let you get unpacked, unless you want me to help." I said, as Jack set the rest of the bags down.

"You don't have to help." He said, unzipping the first bag.

"Nah, it's okay. I want to." I answered, grabbing some clothing out and opening a dresser drawer.

"Well, thanks."

It was really kinda awkward. Just small talking with him. We were best friends and we were acting like we just met. Maybe we should just get this talk out of the way..

"Jack.?" I asked, turning around to look at him.

He looked up, a few shirts in his hands.

"Yeah Mark?" He said, putting them away.

"This feels so.." I started.

"Awkward?" Jack said, smiling.

"Yeah, awkward. Maybe we should just.. talk about this, get it out of the way." I said, grabbing the last few shirts.

"Yeah, yeah. Sounds like a good idea." Jack said, sitting down on the bed.

"Okay, so.." I started, not really knowing what to say. "Um.. I.. I don't know how to talk about this." I said, laughing.

"It's fine, me neither." Jack said, laughing.

"Okay, so, you know how I feel about you. Obviously. And if you don't feel that way, I completely understand and I just.. I still wanna be friends with you." I said, looking at the floor.

He was quiet for a minute and every second of silence hurt. I felt like he couldn't look past this. How could he? This is so messed up. Why did I have to..

"I like you too." Jack said, hardly audible.

"Wait.. really?!" I said, looking up at him.

"I've been.. hiding it for a little bit.. I guess I didn't want it to be true at first.. I've never liked a guy before and like you said, I wanted us to still be friends, so I never said anything. But, when you told me you liked me, I just.. I felt like it was time to tell you." Jack said, biting his lip.

"Wow.. Wow, I was totally expecting you to hate me." I said, still shocked.

"Mark, even if I didn't feel the same, I wouldn't hate you. You're my best friend." Jack said, smiling at me.

"Thanks Jack." I said, looking at his lips.

"What are you lookin' at?" Jack asked, chuckling.

"Just.. you." I said, smirking.

Jack blushed a bit and I brushed his cheek with my hand.

"Can I.. kiss you?" I asked, quietly.

Jack nodded and I leaned in. I closed my eyes and felt my lips meet his.
