This is not cannon to the anime OR the manga, in some ways hehe
You don't have to listen to the song up above whilst reading - it's just there because it kinda fits in with the whole story!

"State your name and your business." A deep, dull voice muttered behind the wooden door. It was the year 839. Three walls had been built to protect the humans from the giant naked monsters we call 'titans'. Levi Ackerman, the Underground's best and baddest thug, lived by himself in a cramped, yet clean, house. It was a little far from the centre of the Underground, but was often getting many visitors for it was the only place where sunlight would beam from the entrance of the Underground.
"Shut up and let me in." Levi heard a man reply, an irritating tone in his voice. Though, somehow, Levi could hear the pain in his voice. Sighing, he swung the door open, revealing a guest.
"Farlan Church." Levi muttered to the figure in front of him, who was in fact Farlan Church. An old childhood friend of Levi's.
"Levi Ackerman." Farlan breathed, staggering into a hug. However, Levi didn't hug back. There was a hole in his heart that hadn't been mended. Ever.
Weaving his arm out of the unwelcoming embrace, Farlan welcomed himself into Levi's home. Rude, but interesting. Farlan had taken after Levi a tiny bit, manner-wise. That proves how close they used to be, only until Farlan went off with this girl called 'Isabel Magnolia'. Levi had a special hatred towards her. " I see you haven't given up on cleaning." Farlan chuckled, sitting himself on the seat Levi was previously sat on. Levi only replied with a 'tsk' and shut the door. Walking over to the dining table Farlan was sat at, he didn't even look at his old friend. 'He hasn't changed one bit.' Levi thought, taking a sip of his peppermint tea he stole and sitting opposite Farlan. "Stolen?" Farlan questioned, receiving a cold glare from Levi.
"I don't like you." Levi spat, continuing to glare at Farlan.
"Of course you don't. Is there anybody you actually like? No." Farlan replied, a frown appearing on his face. He stood up to leave, for his encounter would be a waste of time. "Well, I'm off!" Farlan spoke happily, taking a step through the front door. "Oh, and Levi." Farlan began, "Don't be alone forever." Was the last thing he said before slamming the door shut, leaving Levi isolated. Again.
"What a brat." Levi sighed, cleaning a speck of mug that had dropped off Farlan's boot.

"Oi! That's not yours!" An elderly man shouted loud and clear after a girl who was running with a raven black cloak that covered her body, along with a hood to cover her facial identities. The only way to identify the criminal , was her eyes. A beautiful bluish grey colour beamed brightly through the brightness of her hood, standing out like a flower in a field of grass.
She was grasping onto a sack of bread, stolen from the elderly man. She didn't have a hint of regret of sorrow, for her heart was pure ice. Not once in her life had it been melted. This was caused from her backstory: abandoned at birth. She lived feeling isolated and emotionless. Not to mention her strength. She was a powerful as an entire brigade, but little did her surroundings know that she was also a killing machine. A blade would always be hidden in her snow white hand, grasped tightly in case of any sign of physical contact towards her. Nothing would get in her way, as she sprinted past village to village, her heart pounding. This wasn't her first time stealing; she had done it all her life.
