Tony
"I DON'T KNOW okay?"
Tony had had enough of the integration from his friends, he wasn't a criminal for bringing the boy into the house. Honestly, he barely knew the boy, despite the fact that he was his nephew. The boy was technically Tony's only family, it wasn't like he could decline letting him stay at his, or rather their, tower.
"Stark, keep it down. Percy's only a floor above us."
"I know Katniss. I was the one who put him up there." Tony snapped, his head starting to throb from the amount of stress. He could feel the eyes of the avengers boring holes into his back as he turned away from them. Pacing back and fourth between the small gap that separated the island and the counter. The tension was spread thick through out the room, almost as if it was sealed with plastic wrap.
"Maybe we should cut the kid some slack about the wolf glare. He just watched his mother be buried by a burning building. It's normal to be depressed."
But not that much.
It was clear that the same thought was running through there heads as they glanced back at Cap. Who grimaced softly and glanced up at the ceiling like he was looking at Percy and not the blank plaster.
Of course this had gone unwell with Tony who had heard the sympathy and caring in Steve's voice when he talked about Percy. Somehow that made Tony more angry, it was his nephew, not Steve's.
"I've been trying to tell you that since you started throwing questions at me, I DON'T KNOW THE ANSWERS, OKAY?" Tony yelled, slamming a fist upon the granite counter top. "All I know, is that he's my nephew, and that he needed someplace to live since his MOTHER DIED. I don't know know why his glares are so scary, heck I don't even know where he used to live!" Tony let out a choked up puff of breath, burying his calloused hands into his face with frustration. The rest of the avengers that circled around him, sat in stunned silence. Clint shifted awkwardly upon the couch cushions.
"Fury's bringing the file." Natasha broke the the silence. Crossing her legs against the side of the stool. "We can get answers the-." Natasha was abruptly cut off by the ding of the elevator across the kitchen. They shifted their positions to stare at the elevator as its doors slid open revealing a rather disgruntled looking Fury.
F.R.I.D.A.Y's voice flickered to life over the sound system.
"Mr. Stark sir, there is an intruder."
Tony glanced up at the ceiling with slight distaste.
"I know that now. Try to warn me a little earlier."
Fury marched in without permission and slammed the file against the counter. His left eye twitching slightly. The avengers hopped up and encircled fury, peering over his shoulder at the two files that had been placed.
"Stark, out of every boy in Manhattan. This had to be your nephew." Fury shook his head and gestured to the file at which Tony slid towards him.
Opening it up his eyes glazed over it before glancing up at Fury his eyes wide.
"Your kidding right?"
Clint dodged under Natasha's outstretched arm and grabbed the file out of Tony's grasp. Posing himself beside Steve he read aloud.
