The plan started off being for David to drop Jillian off at work this morning, but unfortunately some last minute thing came up in David's schedule, something, no matter how much David wished he could spend his morning otherwise, he simply couldn't ignore. Such were the struggles of managing a multi-million dollar company, something Jillian also knew well. So, with the assured promise of messaging later, they went off their separate ways.

Things had been going well. Slow, as Jillian wanted, but well. Nothing definitive to say about their relationship yet if you could call it that, but she was started to think about David more and more as part of her daily life.

Though she skirted around the issue for a while, she had finally told Katrina about what had been occurring between them. Kat was more than thrilled for her friend's new little development than she probably should have been for merely playing the supportive friend. And like always, she pried out all her dirty details.

Jillian knew they were still cautious about what they talked about with each other, work was usually an unspoken no-go zone, sometimes there was no talking at all, well nothing that could be understood as a intelligible conversation, although they seemed to understand each other enough. Besides Jillian didn't know how David would react to her job. She didn't want him to feel intimidated or begrudging if she had a higher role than him. But for how busy he was, she suspected that wasn't likely.

It was well past lunch time now and Jillian was still at the office finishing up some odds and ends. She had tried to text David to see if he'd be willing to meet for lunch. But lunch passed by, and there was still no answer from him. It bothered her a little because David was usually pretty good with his phone, he typically had it on him unless they were together. But when two hours passed with no response, Jillian concluded that he was simply busy with whatever he had going this morning and that she'd try him again later tonight.

There was a polite knock on her door which she quickly came to associated as Charlie's. Easily, she welcomed the spritely blonde woman in.

"Jillian, I just wanted to remind you of the meeting with the competing company, GRAF Corp." Jillian inhaled deeply, her brain still stuck unconsciously on thoughts about David.

"Oh right. Do you know who they're sending as representatives this time?"

"Actually ma'am, I think it's Mr. Antros and Mr. Ferraro themselves."

"Lovely." Charlie nodded her head.

"Mr. Klein just wanted me to remind you about reconvening with him after the meeting." Jillian sighed, rubbing her neck.

"Right. He told me he'd brief me afterwards. Alright, well thank you, and please let me know whenever the meeting is through." Charlie politely acceded and left her office.

Since her office faced the elevators, Jillian knew exactly when the gentlemen from GRAF Corps. arrived. She looked up from her work and watched as Klein and his PA greeted and directed them over to the an elegant private conference room behind frosted glass walls. But as watched the two men follow her boss, something irked Jillian. It was the way one of the men walked or rather strode as if this were his office instead of his competitors. She glared at him with suspicion, but more importantly with uncertainty. What bothered her most though was that it was almost akin to David's, a walk which she found irresistibly sexy, especially when it was being directed towards her.
