Emily POV

Tonight is the night. Maybe. If he doesn't stand me up again. It's been 2 weeks and he's always so busy. Hi mom was in a car wreck, His dad just came back from Peru. Valid reason's it's just a waste of my time. Yet I still want to give it a try. Levi and I have been spending some time together. We went to the library, Nate dragged us to a water park which was really fun. It's just hard. I've been telling myself that it's nothing and that I need to get over myself but I can't. 

~6 pm~ 15 minutes before date~

Nate helped me to pick out a dress, he has a really good taste in fashion. "Why do you need so much makeup? I mean he saw you without make up at the movies." Nate asked while sitting on my bed watching me put my makeup on. "To look good." I reply not really knowing why girls where makeup. "But girls like you don't need make up, I mean your naturally perfect." I look back at him in the mirror and see him blushing. I stand up and go sit next to him on the bed. "You really think that?" "Of course, when you blush you light up and your eyes sparkled enough without the glitter, you haven't had a pimple since you were 15, come on your perfect." I started to blush at this and decide that I was gonna go without makeup. My phone went off and I didn't get excited. I didn't want my hopes crushed. I'm glad I didn't get my hopes up either.

C- Can't make it some one robbed the store I work at and I'm a witness police say I need to stay for at least 2 hours sorry. 

E- It's totally fine, I understand it happens all the time, are you okay, it must have been scary. 

C- yea I'm fine 

Nate POV

The minute her phone went off I new he canceled. How could he do that to her? Emily turned around and tears were streaming down her face "Come here Em" I held my hand out for her. She came over and curled into a little ball. Emily was crying her eyes out! I'm surprised she still has tears. This has been going on for two weeks. It pains me to see her cry like this. We fell asleep watching a movie on the floor in the living room. I had updated Levi while watching the movie. The next morning I woke up to Levi texting me.

N- she will be fine, its summer and she's in pain
