I slammed Chara's small body onto the ground, hearing something crack. They coughed out a red liquid, but I've been through enough fights to know that's not blood.

The red liquid splattered onto the floor and turned black, drying and dissolving into the air like dust.

"Sorry, not enough to go round."

Determination.

They threw their knife into the air and skillfully directed my wires towards the blade, breaking what was holding them back and landing on the floor. Their fringe parted and they tilted their head sideways, before their mouth breaks into a wide, dark grin I haven't seen in a while. Their eyes blackened and they planted themselves onto the ground. Black roots seemingly began to spread out from their feet and creeped towards me.

"JOY."

CORE!Frisk stepped back, their monoscale face an unreadable mask.

Chara sprinted towards me at breakneck speed as they branished the threatening knife, their footsteps echoing throughout the judgement hall. I instinctively clenched my fist, careful not to harm the string before I avoided their slice, and dodged the counter attack right after. A visible growl emitted from their throat as they spun their knife in their hands and flung it at me, cutting one of the wires that was hoisting me up. I crashed into the ground but recovred hurriedly and pulled their leg, dragging them up and slamming them onto the ground repeatedly whilst hearing satisfying cracks.

"Stop," CORE said softly and the two of us stared at them. Chara spit out more red liquid, but this time it was a mixture of both blood and determination.

"Fuck off, you can't do anything to stop us."

"Stop, you're gonna call Ink."

"Come on in then, piece of shit can join in the fun he's missing," I hiss as I tighten my grip around their ankle, and felt their wince as I was close to the snapping point.

"That's not what I meant."

It was at this point when I realized what CORE was talking about.

The familiar swish of the rainbow paint sliced through my wire like the cold air on a winter night, and he glared at the two of us. His jaw didn't open, however his voice sounded loud and clear.

"You two were banned from meeting each other."

I released my grip on Chara and watched them fall onto the floor, scurrying up and looking at Ink with pleading eyes.

"Stop, Gaster, you don't have to do this."

I look at In- Gaster, with a cautious glare

"Vessels are the only way for me to exist in this universe for a long while. But since Ink didn't wish for disruptions in the alpha universe, I guess I had to take him."

CORE frowned.

I hissed. "Leave. You were never meant to belong in this timeline, Gaster."

"So were you, glitch."

Chara kept their mouth shut, blood trailing out from their lips and splashing onto the floor, which was the only noise in the dead silent judgement room.

"Face me like the Royal Scientist you are, not in some vessel that you took over probably without permission."

His body swapped between black and white rapidly before something spilt from him, sending him flinging across the room with paint trails following his figure.
