I wake up with a pounding headache and my chest feels bruised. I open my eyes to blinding white lights that make the searing head in my pain multiply.

"I wouldn't open my eyes again if I were you. You got you head hit pretty hard."

I squint my eyes open to see a little old elderly woman sitting by my bed side. I'm laying in a hospital bed...?

"Holy shit... that motherfucker!" I shout, sitting up in bed.

A wave of nausea rolls over me and I breath slowly.

"Don't do that again. I ain't seen nothing like the wound you gots on your forehead. And I ain't never seen such a ruckus neither."

"Who are you?" I mutter.

"I ain't nobody."

"That doesn't make any sense."

"I don't need to make none sense."

I lay back down and close my eyes tight. Next thing I know the hospital is on lock down and people are running and there's blood on the wall outside my door. I grab my phone on the table beside my bed and call Sebastian.

"I gotta go baby."

"Do you have to babe?" she sleepily mumbles.

"Ya shits going down at the hospital. I couldn't really tell what but it's an emergency."

"Stay for a few more minutes. If it's a real emergency the police can handle it."

"If something else happens to Clark, I don't think I'll be able to live with myself," I sigh as I reach for my shirt on the floor.

"I'm sorry babe but it's not your fault, you couldn't control her running of-"

"She didn't run off! She got taken against her will!"

"Okay Bastian. Just calm down."

"Bye Anastasia."

"I love you."

I just stared at her.

"It's not the right time for that."

Disappointment creates a shadow across her face.

"Get out of my house."

"What? I don't understand."

"Get the fuck out of my house!" She screams, throwing her phone at my head.

I turn around and race out the door. She follows grabbing a baseball bat out of the closet. I jump in my car and throw the car into reverse but I'm not quick enough. She swings at the passenger window and spider webs form on the glass.

I bang my fist against the steering wheel, wondering out of all the people in the world, why does this crazy shit have to happen to me?

By the time I get to the hospital, the police are setting up blockages at each entrance into the hospital parking lot. I pull my car over onto the shoulder and get out walking toward the cop closest to me.

"What's going on?"

"You're Clark's brother right?"

"Yes, sir. What's going on?"

"The creep we picked up that tried to take her, has some seriously bad friends."

"What do you mean?"

"You know Stephan Steel?"

"The main suspect in the murders across highway 335? Ya, he's all over the news. What does he have to do with this?"

Then it hit me.

"No, please tell me... no, that's impossible. How do you know it's him?"

"He wrote it in a nurses blood on the wall in the ICU."

"But you don't understand, the guy that took Clark... He's my biological father."
