Chapter 1

RING! RING!

I reached for my phone from under my pillow and flipped it open.

"C'mon Cam we're gonna be late!" Taylor screeched down the phone. Taylor was my best friend, we've been best friends since we were 4 years old.

"Huh?" I moaned.

"Don't tell me you're still asleep!"

"No" I lied.

"You're a bad liar Cammi" She sounded dissapointed.

"What are we gonna be late for anyway?" I asked rubbing my eyes and squinting at the light coming through my window.

"Did you forget? Its the first day of high school" She screeched again.

I jumped off my bed and my eye lids shot open, "Wait! What time is it?" i asked shocked.

"7:30."

I slumped back onto my bed, "Taylor, we don't have to be at school until 8:30! Don't tell me you're dressed for school already, what are you wearing?" I asked her worried.

"This is me you're talking to! And im not telling, you'll just have to wait and see"

I rolled my eyes, "Okay, fine. Cya at school... Oh and thanks for the wake up call."

She giggled, "Okay, you're welcome. Bye"

"Bye"I hung up. Sighed and slowly dragged myself off my bed to go for a shower.

Fifteen minutes later I turned off the water, grabbed my towel to wrap around myself and went back into my small, bright pink, bedroom and headed for my wardrobe.

Six outfits later i found the perfect one: dark denim bootleg jeans and a bright blue tank top, which matches my eyes (sad, i know, but it looks cute). I decided that i was going to curl my long blonde hair, considering it was my first day of high school, and when you live in L.A first impressions are always the most important. Next it was time to put my make up on and that took at least ten minutes.

Finally when i was done, i looked at the clock and it was 8:15.. "Oooo, time to go" I said to myself. Oh my god, what? Did i just talk to myself? Weird.

I ran down the stairs, shouted "Bye" to my mum Lucy, my dad Charlie and my sister Tiff - which is short for Tiffany, and before i reached the door my mum shouted "Arn't you wearing shoes today?" Her and my dad laughed with eachother and i turned bright red, "Oh yeah, whoops!" I ran back upstairs and grabbed my yellow flip flops, ran back down the stairs towards the door, shouted "Bye" again, shut the door behind me and walked down the drive through the white shiny front gate and made my way down the street to Taylors house, who was leaning impatiently against her also white gate.

When I reached her I saw she was wearing a pair of white skinny jeans that matched the gate and a bright red silky strappy top. She looked stunning, Taylor had the perfect figure that every girl dreamed of having and had long, brown, naturally curly hair and bright green eyes. She smiled when she saw me and said "Hey Cam, you look nice. That top really brings out the colour in your eyes. And im sorry for waking you up this morning."

I smiled "Oh its okay, no worries. And thank you, that's what i was aiming for," I laughed, but carried on, "you look stunning. As always!"

Taylor giggled "Aww thanks, so lets go."

With that, we started walking.
