The knot in my throat was beginning to grow bigger as Harry drove down to his house. Seeing Jason's car in the parking lot terrified me. I didn't know where I'd be staying now that he knew where I was living. Staying at Harry's was just a onetime thing. Surly I wouldn't be staying there from now on. For one, I didn't want to intrude, and second, he and I just met. I didn't know Harry well enough to decide if living with him and whoever he lives with would be a good thing. The whole situation just terrified me.

I was extremely grateful that he was having me stay with him tonight, though. I really didn't want to have to have Harry fight it out with Jason again, but I knew that I wouldn't have been able to deal with him on my own. If I had walked up to my dorm alone, I would have ended up going home with him, I knew it. Jason had power over me that I could not control for the life of me. He was too strong and too forceful.

Harry and I both stayed silent all the way to his place. He lived in an apartment off campus;
it was practically right in the center of Nashville.

Once we pulled into the parking lot Harry helped me out of the car and led me to his apartment with an arm draped around my shoulders. The lobby inside of the building was pretty nice. It had light wood flooring and a fire place. There was a man sitting at the front desk who was reading the newspaper. There was a huge maroon and tan rug in the center of the lobby with two pinkish and red couches on each end with a table in the middle. Everything was very roomy. It looked almost like a very fancy hotel lobby. The guy at the front desk nodded his head towards us as we walked by making our way to the elevator.

Harry let his arms fall from my shoulder to around my shoulder to around my waist after we stepped into the elevator and he pressed the button for the ninth floor. I leaned into him and he held me even tighter. I didn't know why I was wanting to feel his touch so much, maybe it was because I was still shaken up about seeing Jason and I wanted someone to comfort me, which is what he was doing. We still remained silent on the way up to his room.

I looked up to him and he still had a stern look on his face. I could tell that he wasn’t happy about Jason being at the dorms.

All of a sudden I wrapped both of my arms around Harry's torso and began crying. I was always crying these days. I was sick of it. He tightened his grip around me and held me close. "Don't worry, babe. He's not going to hurt you. Not anymore," Harry whispered into my hair as he rubbed my back. "I won't let him get to you."

Hearing Harry's soothing voice and forceful but comforting words made me cry even harder. I was so lucky to have him.

The elevator doors dinged open. "Come on, babe," Harry whispered and grabbed my hand leading me to his room.

"This is it," he said as he unlocked the door and opened it showing me the beautiful apartment. Right as the door opened there was a huge window, practically taking up the entire wall except for a little part in the corner, and the view was amazing. You could see all of the lights and buildings of Nashville. The floor matched the light wood from the lobby. There was a white rug centered with the window. On it was a black leather couch facing the window with a T.V that was at least 42 inches.

"This is where you live?" I said in awe as I took in my surroundings. I looked over to my left to see a beautiful kitchen with stainless steel appliances and beautiful shades of dark red and dark grey cabinet and drawers.

"Yeah, it's not much, but it's home," he said sticking his hands in his pockets.

"Not much? Just your living room is bigger than the apartment that Jas--. Sorry," I said cutting myself off, knowing how he felt about me talking about Jason.

"It's fine, Kate," he said with a smile as he walked over towards me. "Let's get you something to wear to bed. I know you're pretty tired."

He grabbed my hand again and led me over to the bedroom. There was dark blue carpet and the walls were painted dark blue, with white trimming. There was a king sized bed centered in the room with  a television placed in front of it set on top of a black dresser. There was a little bay window on the left side of the room.
