Shrouded by darkness are we. Those whom roam the inerts of our mind, corrupted by fear and doubt, we succumb to the shadow of the negative realm that lurks like a moon. Trapped in the gravitational pull of your mentalities planetary orbit. Some what distant, not always in sight but constantly wrapping itself around us. Forever destined to cast shade upon those whom tango with fate.

A deep voice sifted through my thoughts.

"We can't stop now! We gotta keep moving!" Demanded a cloaked figure up ahead in the distantance , a top the peek of a hill side, down a narrow path. "Pick up the pace , no one gets left behind. And watch your step, it's a long way down. I don't want to have to dive into that ravine after you." The cloaked females voice sounded throughout the canyon causing multiple echo's past the ears of her followers. A group of women and children.
"Violet !!" A young boys voice screeched from the crowd. "Can't you see they need rest ? These women are literally carrying their entire families on their backs." Sorrow filled the boys lungs as he cried his worries to his older sister.
She looked down at her sibling with full grasp of the situation and of her brothers concern. "I know dear brother , I'm well aware. But what do u expect me to do ? Just set up camp on this ridge? Chad.." She pat her brothers head. " you have a big heart Lil bro. Someday you'll make a great leader of the resistance. But with pops gone that duty falls on my shoulders. So I say we get this show on the road. I'll give them a break once were beyond the reach of federation." Violet cracked the best half smile she could muster. With the Federation on pursuit it was hard to stay positive.

The heard pushed onward til every last mother and child were off the cliff but as violet and chad were edging the group forward she noticed a spec of an air ship closing in on their position. It had to be the federation. "No one flies out here , its too dangerous due to the magnetic fields. That's spefically why pops told us to hide out here. Dammit I guess he couldn't hold 'em off.." Violet said rhetorically. Sludging her head down in defeat. she then quickly nudged the rest of the group around the ledge. They were all safely progressing along a large plateau. "Alright everybody listen up!!" Violet roared to the people "The federation is already onto us. I just saw their ship about a hundred clicks southwest of us , just behind that mountain ridge we nimbly traversed. Without a doubt , at this rate, they will be right on top of us by sun down." A small sliding rock caught her eye. She peered up "CHAD!" She shrieked to her brother who was climbing up the surrounding cliff side , obviously attempting to get a glimpse of the threat. His sisters shrill stopped chad dead in his tracks. "Get your butt down here! You wanna give away our position? When they say 'use your head.' They don't mean literally peek your head out. I swear.. you're gonna be the death of me bro." Chad quickly slid back down landing right at violets feet. "Sorry mom." Chad quipped sarcastically. Violet gave him an evil glare before rolling her eyes back to the crowd. " As..I..was saying.. We are being tracked. Luckily there are a few cave systems around here. They may be frozen over but getting in them is better than risking our butts on the road. So , that being said, let's get a move on. " she tried to channel her fathers cheerful yet stern approach at managing the once captive women and children.

Just then , an android carrying supplies bumped into violet, dropping the arms load of ice picks. "Oops, sorry cap'n. " the devilishly handsome young android said before bending over to reclaim his mess and continued to distribute the equipment. Violet glared daggers at him. "Chaaaad...." She shouted for her sibling like a mother scolding her child. Chad came rushing up with a salute. "Yes ma'am." He said as he clapped his feet together.
"What did I say about that..THING.. You reprogrammed?"
"He's my responsibility.." He said reluctantly.
"Right, that means keep him out of my way. You know how I feel about keeping a project shade bot around. What if he has a tracking device installed or he turns on us? Its not safe chad."
"Sis, I took care of all of that. He's perfectly fine, not a single back up protocol file on him. Besides , dad said he could come in handy someday."
Violet sighed. "Don't rub his words in my face. I still don't like him."
