On the way to the train station, Lucy almost killed them (because neither she, nor the horses had common sense). Lucy was insistent on pretending to drive a train.

"Choo, choo!" At one point she tricked Jana into handing her the reins. Big mistake.

"Lucy!" Jana hissed, "Give me the reins back."

"No!" Lucy looked thoroughly offended, "I've got it under control," she claimed as she urged the horses to go faster making the wagon sway wildly. As the two girls wrestled for the reins, no one was sure what happened next. Either Baba fell out of the bed or threw herself. Both were plausible. Jana heard the loud thump first and immediately ran to her grandmother's aide. At first, Lucy thought Jana had surrendered the reins, but dropped them too when she noticed Baba. She was fine; and they had also gotten to the train station. Jana was so exhausted from a horrible night's sleep, that Baba and Lucy left her in the wagon to sleep, and went inside to buy tickets.
