I Lost Her

Chapter 2

Most of the ride was quiet until the last 5 minutes before we got to the school.

"So, Velvet where are you from?"

"Huh?"

"Well judging how you've only been here for a few weeks, I'm guessing your not from here."

"Well your guess is right. I'm not. I'm from California."

"Oh, cool."

"What about you two?"

"Huh?"

Well, judging by the way you talk, you don't sound like your from around here."

"Well we actually aren't. I'm actually from Chicago."

"And I'm from the UK." Mason said joining the conversation.

"Wait, so how do you two know each other?" Velvet said.

"Well Mason moved from the UK when he was around 10 years old, and he came to Chicago, we've known each other ever since.Once we found out that both schools we wanted to go to were right beside each other we decided to be roommates." I said.

"Oh, that's cool." She said.

"Yeah."

I looked out the window and saw the school. Welcome to Photography Arts, where you can kick off you photography career, and right beside us pilot school. Where Mason will be going.

As we got out of the truck I said to Mason, "Catch you later man."

"See ya dude"

We did a quick fist bump and he drove off.

"We'll it looks like we have 15 more minutes."

"Yeah I guess we do." She said with a smile.

"You wanna talk for a little."

"Sure."

"So, what made you want to be a photographer?"

"My dad actually."

"Was he a photographer?"

"Well, he did, but he wasn't really trying to make a career out of it."

"Oh. Where's your dad now?"

"Um....well...he's dead."

"Oh..I'm so sorry I didn't kno—"

"It's ok, but yeah he got me started in a career in photography."

"He sounds like a amazing guy."

"He was. What about you?"

"Oh, my sister. She showed me how beautiful the world was, and how we could make a difference with are photos."
