The Knowing

A/N: Full credit to the movie Safe House for SOME of the lines in this chapter. I thought some of their dialogue in the movie was really cool and suited this story perfect. But i did not directly copy the lines i changed it around a bit to suit this story. so..ENJOY! :D

IMPORTANT: So this little note will be helpful when you get to the conversational part:

( - means shayla is talking

& - means Pedro is talking

I was put my hands up in the surrender position as two guards point guns up at me. I sigh as I am dragged into a room and taped to a chair. I felt like i was being prosecuted by a police with the metal table in front of me and a bright light shining down on my face making my bright blonde hair feel like it's about to burn. Pedro takes a seat on the other side of the table and start talking.

&"You don't know anything about my history, Heights" He says in a gruff voice, his Mexican accent being heard.

("What are you talking about?"

&"I was one of the most brilliant Concept Zero operatives they you ever had....until I went rogue"

I sat there, In complete shock as the words fall out of his mouth. It couldn't be true. That's impossible. Then again....

("I don't believe you" I say coldly.

&"Why are you rejecting the truth Heights?"

("If I'm rejecting anything, it's a lie"

&"Ooo, your sooo tough!" He says mockingly. He was obviously being sarcastic.

("You better shut your mouth." I say threatenly.

&"Uh huh. Anyways, I'm here to warn you."

("Warn me about what?"

&"AJ"

("I don't need to warned about him. He's been like a father to me."

&"Aye, that's how he was to me too, until I realized that he killed my real parents."

("LIAR!" I spat in his face. He solemnly wiped it off.

&"I'm telling you the truth. You don't have to listen, but it'll spare you the time. Of turning up how I did. AJ was the one who killed my parents.He killed yours too."
