It was a very short journey from my apartment building, to the hospital that I knew well after five years. The victim as I called him remained in his severely shocked state throughout the journey, staying still in his gurney, for the duration of the 20 minuet drive, while we attempt to treat his wounds as best we could.
We arrived at the same time as the attacker, he looking considerably worse for wear. He was crashing hard, the best ER staff arrived to cover him, waiting for my instructions.
"Boss?" Neil the deputy chief of nights asked,
"Get him on a drip, I want you on CPR duty Cornell." I directed Lucy, the pale looking intern, "Savage, I want you to warn the surgeon, Galangal, I want you to head the team with Neil. Do everything we can to save him. If you need me, I will be in the night quarters." I guided,
"Yes boss!" They all shouted,
"Good, now get cracking!" I shouted as they all rushed, the new intern Lucy taking over from the frantic Vincent,
"Oh, once you get in there, give him a breathing machine and try shocking him, if that doesn't work." I told them as I rushed forwards opening the door for them, then ran inside towards the private sleeping quarters.
Once I'd opened the door; locking it swiftly beside me, I uncovered my now clean iPhone, unlocked it and pressed the call button.
Three pips later, he picked up.
"Darcy." Freddy's gravelly Scottish voice picked up,
"Freddie!" I exclaimed happily,
"How're you?" he asked tiredly,
"Not too great you?" I asked,
"Same, the boss has got us all working our balls off at the moment, I'm so tired!" he moaned, "What's wrong?" he asked,
"Just as I got home, Rosie practically kicked my door down to tell me that some idiot's were fighting and they were both hurt." I told him, "Let's just say that I am at the hospital, waiting to be given orders, I presume by the General who should be arriving soon. I just wanted to go to sleep." I cried,
"Hey, honey, it's okay. You'll be fine, I suspect they just want your statement." He told me kindly,
"Thanks, I know you can't tell me what you're doing, just be safe." I told him sentimentally,
"I will, I'll be back before you know it hon." He laughed,
"Bye, sugar." I laughed jokingly,
"Bye, love." He laughed, then rang off.

Instantly I slumped in my bed, as soon as I touched the covers, I was fast asleep.
