Chapter 3

Next Morning

I woke up not feeling tired.Checking the time I noted the fact that I hadn't been woken up by the usual screaming of my name.I was late for school,it was past lunchtime.Getting out of bed,very confused might I say and walked into the kitchen to find Claus and some police officers.

"What's going on?"

"Omygod Dankmar your alive!"

"What do you mean 'I'm alive'?"

"You didn't return home and.."

"Did you not think to check my bedroom?"

"B-but I did!"Claus spluttered.

"I was a little late home,that was all,"

"I'm sorry officers it seems like I've brought you round here for no reason,would you like some tea,coffee?"

"No thank you,"they answered politely,walking out of the kitchen.

"We'll talk about your punishment later,"Claus said directing a very weak glare at me.

"Isn't living with you's enough punishment,"I muttered to myself.

I jumped down the stairs before I did or said something I'd regret.

"Marco!!Ashley!! What the fuck are you doing in my room!!!"Why were they not in school?I thought to myself.

"Whatever we want to,"replied Ashley.

"Get out!!"Feeling furious.They both gasped in shock at something before running past me.What was it that made them both so scared? Shrugging,I walked over to my bed and flopped onto it.I sat there for ages just staring at the ceiling.I remembered how I used to do this and think up a different life,a better life.

Often I would've ended up falling asleep.Waking up I would find myself sourly disapointed,so much that I made the decision to stop.

"Claus!!Can I go out!"I shouted,taking the stairs two at a time.

"Okay but this time be back by 1am at the latest,"

"Seeya,"Picking up my messenger bag and yet again running to the meadow it wasn't as dark as last time,for that I was thankful.

Reaching the outskirts of the forest I heard howling.

Ignoring it I walked through the forest noticing things I hadn't but then again I was running through this place.

Coming to the outskirts of the meadow,thankfully hidden by the trees surrounding it.

Jogging to the centre of the meadow Opening my bag I got out my sketchbook.Not knowing what to draw I just let my hand guide me.When I finished I realised drawn that Loki guy from yesterday.

"You're very good,"I jumped to my feet ready to bolt.I stood frozen and looked behind me."Sorry didn't mean to scare you,"It was Loki.

I sat back down.

"It's okay,"I told him softly.

"I was saying that you're drawing is very good,"I looked down at it.

"You think so?"

"Yes,but why draw me?"

"I don't know,I wasn't really thinking about what I was drawing,"

"Can I see your other drawings?"I didn't know if I should he could be friends with Marco or Ashley.

"I promise no harm shall come to it,"
