Chapter 5---- On The Road Again

         So when we got out of Poplar Bluff we decided to go to Illinois. So we spend a few hours on the road and we had to stop somewhere to get more gas, so we decide to go to a gas station and stay the night there so we could rest. The next day we decided to keep on going to Illinois and stop at different places along the way. When we enter the city limits of Chicago we found a prison that looks like it is abandoned so we decided to go check it out and before we got to close to the prison we seen that the courtyard was full of walkers so we decided to kill them all. So we came up with a plan to take the guard towers that way we have the higher ground and I ran for the other gate that was open and close it before more walkers came into the courtyard. After a few weeks of staying there we decided to move on and search for more survivors and we came up on a house and i told two people to come with me and the rest to stay behind and when we when up on the house we knocked on the door and another one of my friends opened up the door and it was Conner Powell and his mom and i asked if they wanted to come with us because they didn't have that much supplies but Conner did have a machine gun. After he got his machine gun out I asked him how he got it and he said " I found it in a gun store". Later that evening we started asking each other questions because we were curious on how he got out of the school when the outbreak started.
